Times have changed a lot since 1992, but fanboys surely haven't.

No, because 'blast processing' is just a buzz term that holds no real meaning. You can actually tell 1080p @ 60fps.
While 60 FPS sure looks nice on big ass TV's, I think the only reason this is even discussion is because Xbox and Playstation owners are bored to tears without any new games to play. By the end of the year, this will be a non-issue for all but the overly hostile and pissy.

There's a difference. 'Blast processing' is nothing more than a marketing term to make people believe in something they have no real understanding of. '1080p' and '60fps' are real technical terminologies used in benchmarks. More importantly, most people here know and can tell the difference between 1080p@60fps vs 720p@30fps. This terms aren't new at all, and have been used by hermits since the beginning of time.

You don't know much about gaming then if you think this is new
@Jaysonguy: I've been PC gaming for a long time, and I've known about frame rates just as long. I think they're important, but they're getting incredibly blown out of proportion only because ps4 has an edge on the Xbox One in this category, and it's something petty people can start arguments about when there's very little to play on their new system.
