How long do you have when the red battery light flashes? (DSi)

Whenever my battery light turns red and flashes I run to get my charger because I expect it to turn off in the next few minutes.

Honestly, how long does it last when it flashes?

It's a pretty good amount of time actually. Around 30 minutes for me, although I have a DS lite(I think DSi is the same though).

Even on my PHAT I know that I have about 30 minutes before shut down.

I have to say though if I'm playing a game with a lot of action, it seems to shut down quicker (and the red light seems to show up quicker.) Could be wrong but it does seem that way to me.

Not sure about the DSi, but when I brought my son to Gamestop to download Jirachi with his DS Lite he got the red light as soon as he turned it on. I asked the fellow working there how long he thought we had before it shut down and he said about twenty minutes. It took us a while to figure out how to do the download (the employee had to look it up on his computer eventually) and we never lost power, so that sounds about right to me.
