Hooking up a wii to a crt, warped menu issue

don't know if anyone else ever got this or know how to fix it. but for some reason on a 25" curved glass old style crt, my wii has some issues. on the top left of the system menu's, it looks stretched to the left in a weird way. i made sure the system wasn't set to widescreen in the options, but that only helped a little bit

Is the wii set to 16:9? Is your crt 4:3 or 16:9?

I had a widescreen crt samsung a long while back and there was a picture setting that would gradually stretch a 4:3 image to fill the screen.

Without seeing it I'm not sure. Maybe you could hook up a dvd/bluray player to the same input, use a "set up disc", and see if its the tv or the settings on the set/wii?

Wii on crt is great. People forget that wii has access to all those old systems, keeps GC controller compatibility, and retains component video to crt option.
