So my brothers save data is corrupt, and it wont let him reset it. I tried the game on 2 other DS's, a DS Lite, a DSI and a DSI XL; none of them worked. I opened it up, cleaned up the connections, removing any dirt, debris and corrosion in the chip, then re-assembled it and put it back in, still nothing, just a clean cartridge. Next I tried hard resetting it using the default reset method: L+R+A+B+X+Y It didn't do anything, then I tried: B+Select+UP Still nothing. So now I'm here. Is there a specific way to factory reset Pokemon Diamond? Error message I get when trying to start the game: "The data could not be read. Please turn off the power, then remove and reinsert the DS Game Card."
It doesn't make it to that screen, I know that's how you reset the data, but I wanted to see if it would work on that screen. It's just a blue screen with a white box, with an error message.
