Yes there are. Hey you're that same guy from before who just got a Wii. Welcome to the Wii family man! Just check out the Wii Games section of Nintendo's website to get a full list of all their first-party exclusives on the Wii. There are free VC games and Wii Ware games but they are either demos or really bad quality. They even take up alot of blocks so get a 2GB SD card to save up space for your Wii. I am warning you that May 20th 2014 is the last day for online game play for the Wii, so play as much as you can online before that evil day comes.

i wonder if private servers will be set up for some of the more popular online wii games after the shutdown.

The chances of that happening is very low considering most online gaming activity have significantly decreased on the Wii. Most people nowadays are using their Wii consoles to stream Netflix.

if you got a used wii. whatever the person that owned it before you bought on wii shop channel is free to you. (maybe as long as they didnt transfer it. or get the account deliberately undone.) mine had super star wars, donkey kong, and galaga.

:/ nothing super amazing. still.

a really great find would be something that they can no longer offer for purchase. such as donkey kong country.

alas, thinking back i regret my wii (not u i love that console). it was such a battery hog even when the controller and the system was off. I should of just stuck with the ds and 3ds until the wii u came out.
