via twitter...

"What's the technical breakthrough?"

Shin'en: "Finally getting all beautiful visuals in stable 60fps. Looked impossible when we started."

fast racing neo is the spiritual successor to F Zero.

It was always going to be 60fps, but I guess they were pushing the graphics so hard it's took them this long.

That's exciting :D although, FRL was a wipeout clone, not F-zero, but i'm sure it'll fill the racing void none the less and be much better than the last game, can't wait to see it!

It's sure to be a technical marvel, even nano assault neo still looks pretty good and that was using tools from the 3ds version and only used the main cpu core.

Shin'en is great with visuals but they need to step it up with the amount of content in their games. Hopefully this one will have a good amount of content and online play.

I've been wanting an F-Zero fix since GX. Maybe this game can help.

This year, or Q1 2015.

But guys, that's a pic of fast racing league on Wii, not fast neo...

some new words on the game and the other game they are making...art of balance

---------------

Mii-Gamer conducted an interview with Shin’en about Art of Balance and Fast Racing Neo for Wii U. Art of Balance will feature 8-player online, up to four players per a console. On the Fast Racing Neo front, Shin’en really wants to push the Wii U. The team wants to make sure the game looks its best before they show it off.

Mii-Gamer: I’ve noticed that you intend to implement online features in Art of Balance. How do the online features work in Art of Balance?

Manfred Linzer: The new Online mode is something rarely seen before on Wii U. On each console up to four players can join the game. So its possible to have an eight player match! Of course you can also simply have a two player game. We tried to make the online play as simple as possible and are quite happy how everything turned out.

MG: Details on Fast Racing Neo have been slim, I would assume you are not ready to share anything yet. But is the development of Fast Racing Neo going well? When can we expect more information?

ML: We know that people really want to see the game. It’s just so that you can show a game only once for the first time. While developing we knew there was so much more possible on Wii U than anyone showed so far. So we decided to really explore and push the hardware. We hope people will appreciate our efforts.

Major third-party developers are about to get shown up by an indie developer

Big time. First party too, for that matter. FAST Neo and Bayo 2 will be the first 2 games to really push Wii U.

Really hoping this game comes out this year, 2014 needs more games!

I'm actually worried, now, that it won't even be nearly as stunning as the hype makes it sound, lol
