Pokemon Tournament hosted by Legend of Nintendo's leader SoraX64
Everyone loves Pokemon, right? So, to celebrate the new year, we are going to be having a Pokemon tournament! All are welcome (as long as we can be assured that you won't skip out on us!) to join in. As a motivational tool to get people to join and play fairly, I will be awarding the winner of the tournament 2000 Nintendo Points via the PM system. Make sure you read through the rules and understand them before signing up. Let's make this a fun but competitive way to start out 2011!Rules
1. No more than one of the same item held by your Pokemon. For example, only one Pokemon in your team can hold a Leftovers. 2. NO one hit KO moves. Horn Drill and etc. ARE A NO NO. 3. No repeated Pokemon. For example, your not allowed two Charizards on your team. 4. Any sort of cheating using Action Replay or Gameshark will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament and possible actions on GameSpot. The GameSpot TOU clearly states "methods of cheating in online games" is illegal. Forms of cheating can take many forms but is not limited to stat benifiters/boosters, giving pokemon illegal moves (moves they cannot learn in the game)and illegal abilities (abilities they would not normally have) 6. Sleep Clause in effect. You can only put ONE of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep at a time (moves like spore, hypnosis, yawn etc). If you opponent switches out the pokemon that you put to sleep, YOU CANNOT PUT ANOTHER POKEMON TO SLEEP unless the previous Pokemon wakes up or is KOed. Self inducing sleep from moves like Rest doesn't count and abilities that causes sleep like effect spore also doesn't count in the sleep clause. 7. Evasion Clause is in effect. You are not allowed to use moves that raise the evasion stat of your Pokemon. Moves that lower the accuracy of the opponent's Pokemon are allowed, though. (IE: Double Team is not allowed, whereas Sand Attack is) 8. Some pokemon are not allowed in the tournament. Period. They are not limited to only legendaries so please make notes and formulate your team. Here is a list: Lugia, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Groudon Rayquaza, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Darkrai, Arceus, Zapados, Articuno, Moltres, Mew, Mewtwo, Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Celebi, Latios, Latias, Regirock, Registeel, Regice, Jirachi, Mesprit, Uxie, Azelf, Heatran, Regigigas, Cresselia, Manaphy, Shaymin Salamence, Metagross, Garchomp, Bronzong, Lucario, Blissey, Wobbuffet, Wynaut, Ninjask, Weavile, Togekiss, Dragonite, Snorlax, Aerodactyl Note: Some of the regular pokemon were banned because of the stats, move sets, or overuse by users. 9. The battles will be 6 vs 6, Level 100, Singles. Note: Your Pokemon team doesn't have to be Level 100 to take part. The game automatically makes any Pokemon in your party Level 100 and boosts their stats to represent the level. 10. The winner of a battle has to be agreed on. You can record matches if you would like proof, but I will be giving all entrants my trust in that I expect no one to lie about the outcome of a battle. If I find out you are lying, you will be disqualified immediately. 11. Level/Post restriction is in effect. You have to be at least level 10 or have 250 posts to sign up.Signing-Up
