Dragon Quest VII 3DS North America release???

So this game came out in Japan back in Feb 2013 and wasnt even mentioned at E3 2013... You would think Nintendo would want to release this to North America since the other Dragon Quest games for DS were huge sellers. Whats the deal??? Anyone heard anything? 3DS is really slacking on RPG front this would prob be a huge money maker for them.

I think it has been announced... At least, I hope so. I love the Dragon Quest games and I'd love to get my hands on this one, even though I don't really dig the design of the Hero.

I think it has been announced... At least, I hope so. I love the Dragon Quest games and I'd love to get my hands on this one, even though I don't really dig the design of the Hero.

It hasn't been announced for localization. None of the 3DS DQ games have.

I surprised that DQ VII & X have both failed to get localized announcements yet. Hopefully at TGS.

All I can say is I hope so, the 3DS needs more RPGs. I would imagine that Nintendo would work with SquareEnix in bringing more main DQ games.

I remember not liking that game back on the PS1 (if it is, indeed, the same game...if the US games have the same numbering as the Japanese games). I found it to be pretty boring/slow with a bad story. Plus [spoiler] you lose the only good character (and the one with any semblance of development) from your party at some point fairly early on (I think), but it has been a while [/spoiler]

Well that was a long time ago now, so I'm not sure I can be specific. I just remember trying it out, and hating it so much. Turned me off to the seres enough that I waited a year after DQVIII came out to try it. (and it ended up being incredible) Now DQVIII, if that one comes to 3DS, I'd be all over it.

No idea, maybe late teens. But here and now I'd likely give it another shot as I have a new found appreciation for older RPG methods. Watching youtube vids of the 3DS port, I can't figure out why I couldn't like it.

I've fairly recently learned to appreciate old school design.
