Do they even observe Valentine's day in Japan?  If these updates were tied to holidays we should get the voting channel on the 4th of July.

Nah I don't think we'll see them tied to major holidays.

probaley not, but maybe on christmas they probaley will send something, like a gift oh let's say 500 free wii points that would be really nice.

That would show how Nintendo really loves us. If they are the best selling company out there by then, we deserve it. :)

The new channel was actually released yesterday (though there was no announcement, which is why it took so long for the Wii community to realise it had been released). So no, it wasn't a Velentine's present anyway... unless somebody hit the "release" button a day early.
