There are different firmware versions of the Wii. If you want to get really technical, then I could also mention the later Wiis that included silicone sleeves for the remote and nunchuk (it only signifies how late in the Wii's life you got the system).
so i got mine around 2007 so what would that be then? is that BAD? will future Wii games not work on mine or something?EpiphoneMan2008
No, all Wii games (including future ones) should work on your system regardless of when you got it.
That depends. Nintendo has released, if I remember correctly, three (maybe there are more) different versions of the Wii, but the only difference is that each has been slightly modified to prevent the installation certain hardware piracy devices. But they are still the same Wiis and regular folks should not see a single difference.I heard something about there being more than one type or version of the wii or something i was just wondering if someone could clear this up!

I know eventually they're to release multiple color scheme wiis like the DS... or at least in Japan but I hope they carry over that here in NA as well.
I will have to get the article but my younger brother confirmed that Nintendo is developing a HD Wii, set out for the end of 2010. That is all I have heard about it.
