Cult County no longer coming to 3DS.

Yes indeed. It will be available for PS3, X-Box 360, Wii-U, Vita, and Steam.

Furthermore, Renegade kid says that in-spite of the game not coming to the 3DS, Moon Chronicles shall make up for a good amount of the share.

Thoughts, reactions? I say this is a bad thing. How could this happen, really >.<

Did they say why it's no longer on 3DS? Did they not have the time or funding to port it?

They said that it is no longer desirable to have on this platform, and it would be suited all the better for other platforms (As I understood it)

They also said Moon Chronicles would be a better fit for our favorite handheld, the 3DS.

At any rate, I can't help but feel....disappointed.

I think they're making a mistake, they're going from being a big fish in a small pond, to just another fish in the sea.

I'll make a lot of allowances for 3DS graphics, but on PS4 and other home consoles, there are numerous games in this genre, and many which are more impressive to look at. Nothing remotely like this exists on 3DS.

They've given it a bit of an upgrade, but it still looks like something from over a decade ago. It's going to cost a lot more to develop, and people will hold it to a higher standard.

All I can say is I hope Moon 3DS is enough of a success for games like this to have a future on the platform. There's no reason 3DS shouldn't have a wider variety of games, including games that were traditionally associated with home consoles.

@Audacitron: I agree. Tsk this has to be some sort of mix up. It's not like the 3DS is heavy on shooters in the first place. Hopefully Jules and Renegade Kid will reconsider and bring Cult County to the 3DS (one day)

Guess they decided they could not compete with the likes of Steel Diver: Sub Wars. At least with Moon Chronicles is an established name on Nintendo platforms. This game, no chance at all.

Waits for the update that Wii U one is cancel too only on PS4 & Xbone. :P

Another reason it's not on the 3DS any more is that there making the game using the Unity gaming engine which is not available on the 3DS.

Good new tho is that there is talk of bringing the Unity gaming engine to the 3DS & Renegade Kid has not ruled out bring the game to the 3DS in the future if the 3DS gets the unity engine on it.

Disappointing. The game looked good in a Brate movie kind of way. Oh well, I probably wouldn't have even bought it at full price anyways since the Dementium games were not worth full price (but well worth the price I paid for them).
