ok guys so my sis just bought the Wii for her and we cant get it to connect to out Moden/router we have a Verizon modem/router you know the FIOS one well anyways I get 20/5mb and I can get connection to my PS3 but why cant I connect it to the Wii dosent it have WiFi and then it says get and AOSS Access Point? why would I do that are you telling me that the Wii only works with only somekinds of modems unlike the PS3 and the rest? well if anyone can help me by telling me what kind of modem they use and if anyone has a PS3 does that modem work for the PS3 also? thanks

It Seems a call to nintendo is in order if theres nothing wrong with your wifi setup

You might have to go into the settings and check broadcast SSID, i had to do it to get mine working (******) not quite sure if thats your care.

yeah but I called Nintendo already and they said my router is not compatible with the Wii, WHY wouldnt it be if it works with my PS3 its WiFi right? and how do I check my broadcast SSID man this is so stupid...

Well you could use the CD that comes with the router and go to manual setup, or i believe you can put this 192.168.1.1 into your browser address bar. Then just search for SSID and see if its broadcasted. If it is then i would just toy with some of the settings and see if i could get it to work if i was you.

kind of having the same problem but it all happend after I switched internets... Still have yet to fix it.

Its complicated but you go to the main setup at the wii menu then youll find it from there good luck!!
