Can the Wii U play all of the Virtual Console games released for the Wii? Like with my ps4, I can't play the old ps1 and ps2 games that were released on the PS3's PS store.
Building off what fugwit wrote, back up all your save data to a different SD card before doing the system transfer process. I cannot stress this enough. When I did the system transfer, it failed to port data over from the SD card during the last step, causing me to lose all my save data. 84hrs of Xenoblade, all the stars in Mario Galaxy 2, everything gone. The Shop Channel data is transferred via the internet, so you don't have to worry about losing that. Even if the card fails in the final step, you can still redownload all your games, as I did. If you do get a Wii U, do the smart thing and make backups. Though the problem isn't guaranteed to happen, it's best to be ready in case it does.

@ps4hasnogames: You'll need the proper Wii controllers. Gamepad or pro controller won't be read in Wii mode. Otherwise yes, with very, very few exceptions (lost winds for some reason), all Wii software currently available will work.
