Get rid of these Best --- --- Game threads, GameSpot, ban those people who make these threads!

Maybe you're new, but please please please don't make these kinds of threads anymore.

Ahem... Mario Kart DS.

Bannining sounds a little extreme, but i to am getting tired of all the "list threads" zelda look pretty good.

Handhelds aren't meant to be graphical powerhouses. Buying a game on a handheld for graphics is wrong because you are playing a screen the size of a postage stamp (yes I know it is a little bit bigger but you get the idea). Handheld games revolve around gameplay not graphics.

Zelda. Looks great, good art style, and everything looks fluid.

The PSP has managed to bring about some amazing visuals and the wide screen makes it look all that much better. While the DS isn't as powerful as the PSP, it still manages to bring out some great looking games. The handhelds are starting to deliver full cinematic experiences that can rival games on consoles when it comes to the overall experience and even though graphics aren't the most important, they should still be taken into consideration.

Anyway, I would have to say that Dragon Quest IX, The Another World and Dragon Ball Origins all have managed to display some great visuals. On the 2-D side of things, I would have to say Disgaea, The World Ends With You, Ecclesia, GRID, Professor Layton and quite a few others.

Metroid Prime Hunters is still one of the most detailed ds games I've seen yet.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker definitely has the best graphics in my opinion.

Multiple games as a matter of fact. Such as Kirby Superstar Ultra, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and Guitar Hero On Tour Decades.

I like the visuals on all three Castlevania games. You can see how much detail they put into all those sprites.

3D; Final Fantasy IV, Star Wars Jedi Alliance, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

2.5D; Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Revenant Wings.

2D; Castlevanias, TWEWY.

oh look! its miss LVL 14!!!

Go understand what does 'levels' mean! You're new yourself, but maybe you created a new account. And I'm not a 'Miss'. People misunderstands by looking at the gender of a profile picture.

gah i hate posting about this game again since i've made like 3 posts on it and i think i'm starting to sound obsessive but....

i'm with IGN and other reviewers on this one, RIZ-ZOAWD looks like it's one of the most gorgeous DS games available right now

#26 Posted by shard9 (150 posts) -
by the looks of it i'd say 'Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days' has the best graphics

Don't tell someone to not make a thread and then offer an opinion.

Games should be based on gameplay not graphics...

...but if we are going by graphics I'd say a Castlevania game would suffice.

The smaller the screen, the higher the resolution. Consider yourself told :D

That game will bomb all.
#38 Posted by Ralfs_br (12 posts) -

I think Zelda is the most, sometimes it runs like the Wind waker in a lower resolution..

Bu t I also have to consider Ninja Gaiden, it runs so great and smooth at high fps's that i cant just ignore it.

#39 Posted by DJgummy (377 posts) -

For 3D: Metroid Prime Hunters, followed by Mario Kart, Zelda, and Ninja Gaiden

For 2D: People won't agree with me, but I'd say Age of Empires: Mythologies folowed by Castlevania and Final Fantasy A2

#40 Posted by Raito_09 (13 posts) -
I've been playing Trauma Center 2: Under the Knife a lot lately, the graphics on that are pretty nice. When you're doing operations, it actually kind of looks like you're IN someone's body. Really cool, but definately not for the squeamish.

star wars: clone wars, zelda ph, secret files: tunguska, ninja gaiden ... the rest were already mentioned and those are the only games that i could think of right now

i think its isometric but the battle scenes on that game look very detailed one of the best visuals ive seen on the ds

I really like Chrono Trigger's graphics, but that might just be me..
#45 Posted by Me2nice (459 posts) -
Does Art Style count? If so, I vote The World Ends With You. If not, then I vote Professor Layton and the Curious Village for the cut-scenes.

Yea, the battle scenes are stunning, but the whole game looks very generic.
