3DS Firmware Update - THEMES!

There's a 3DS Update available to 9.0.0-20

• Users can now use themes to customize the design and sounds of the HOME Menu
• Five themes are pre-installed and additional themes can be purchased from the Theme Shop
• Themes can be changed by using settings located within the HOME Menu settings
• A feature has been added that allows users to capture screenshots of their HOME Menu
• The Nintendo eShop Title Information page has been updated to provide easier access to any available videos, demos, user reviews, and other information
• Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience

Oh wow, the default themes are basic color changes. I was expecting at least something Mario related as one of the pre-installed ones.

Just bought the Zelda theme with my leftover credit. I do like how it plays the zelda theme in the background. It's a nice touch.

My theme is now black. B)

Currently having mine on yellow until they release a Pikachu or Pokemon related theme. I do like the Zelda one though but I'd rather wait for a Pokemon related theme for my Pikachu XL.

I don't like any of the paid themes, really hoping for a Sonic theme like the one for Sonic 4 on Ps3. I am using the black one right now, IMO the free ones are by far the best looking ones

Holy crap, I went to the Wii U eshop and the Zelda theme plays nonstop. It seems like the 3DS theme you choose also affects the Wii U eShop. Pretty cool!

The update put the 3DS on par with the Vita but still ... the Vita did that frome the start, the PSN store is way better etc ... I start to miss my Vita even when the 3ds a better game choice

Although it is neat, I've never been a fan of paying for themes. I just changed mine to Basic Blue.

Same. Really nice of them to include this as an update but I'm not paying for a theme. The free blue one is fine.

Nintendo added four new themes today. They're called 'spinner' themes and based off of Bowser, Mario, Rosalina and Peach. In Japan they've released 3 Halloween themes as well.
