Let's take the Chiefs. Priest Holmes has been running wild for quite some time. However, so does Derrick Blaylock. So did Larry Johnson.

Jamal Lewis of the Ravens has been racking up yards. However, so did Musa Smith.

Is is the line? Is it the back? Or is it a little of both?

The RB can't without the Line, but it is also the other way around. You need to trust in both.

without a good line there wont be a good passing offense which will allow defenses to key on the run making a good runningback worthless

I'd say the o line, take the steelers - If their o line is healthy they've show that just about anyone can run the ball. For example, Duce Staley, Jerome Bettis, Verron Haynes, even back to Amos Zeroue.

exactly, but with the Ravens their passing offense sucks to begin with, and yet they still rack up the rushing yards

I think on the most part the offensive line is the most important. The Cheifs + Broncos being excellent examples of this. They can make a good running backs great. They have shown this in the past few years with all the RB's they have had and they have ALL done well.

Some RB's can make a offensive line better but they are few and far between. EG Barry Sanders. He could make teams miss really badly and make defenses look foolish. But he is definitely the exception to the rule.

The o-line is the most important thing because they protect your QB and enable your RB to run. The Packers had a great O-line and Fvre wasn't sacked often and they had a stellar running game even with Davenport and Fisher.

I agree.Without the 0-line, QB can't work and RB can't run. WR's wont even have enough time to get into position. Everything starts with 0-line. Look at the NY Giants year before last. Kerry Collins got creamed everytime he touched the ball because the o-line was horrible.

The offensive-line and your running back are equally important.

The O-Line, because any back can run through a hole.

you can't say who is more important you o-line or your rb. thats like saying who's more important you D-line or your MLB. its totaly wrong. look at the bears. whos more important. the D-line or Brian Urlacher. who more important. Ladamian Thomlinson or their O-line. someone argue this

The Bears' D-line is more important than Urlacher. He hasn't been as good since Ted Washington left.

Some backs can make their lines BETTER, but most of the time, the O-Line helps the back, and not the other way around. LDT makes his line better.
