The Packers get an F. Here's why...
1. They didn't solidify anything in the offseason. They traded away Pro Bowlers for peanuts, does that tell you something about Mike Sherman's reign in Green Bay?
2. They were hurt all year. You can't win if all your stars like Javon Walker, Ahman Green, Najeh Davenport, Bubba Franks, Tony Fisher, SamKon Gado, Na'il Diggs, etc., etc. Need I say more?
3. The Packers protection of Brett Favre was horrible. The O-line is probably the 2nd most important thing on a football team and the Pack just didn't show up there. Brett Favre had 29 INTs for a reason last year, blame the O-line. A steel tank isn't even protected by the Packers O-line.
4. The Packers WR core gave up on almost every broken play the Packers had last year. Another reason why Brett Favre threw so many INTs. Brett throws where the WRs are SUPPOSED to be but they weren't there because they kept giving up on plays all the time. And any WR in the NFL should know...you don't give up on plays when you have Brett Favre playing QB. Not to mention when Brett Favre threw a jump ball, the WR would just let the DB pick them off. I've never been so humiliated at a WR core in my life.
5. Brett Favre had lost desire this season. You could tell this after week 6. He knew it was going to be a long season so he just didn't care how he played. How can Brett Favre play like a superstar when the rest of his team is either hurt or giving up on him?
