Madden 10 XBOX 360 Franchise League Sign Ups

NFL Gamespot Union League 

Last year Madden 09 advertised online league mode, and it was absolutely terrible.  This year it's ONLINE FRANCHISE mode.  The features are all there including stats and trades.  So, if you are planning to get Madden 10 and have xbox live then sign up here to be in the NFL Gamespot Union League.  This way we can pick players that are somewhat used to forums and communicating outside of their console.

I'll be designing a website and will be active as league commish in order to approve trades, solve problems, and keep all teams active.

In the past it has taken a TON of work to keep a league together, but this year it is a feature built into the game.  I've never been so excited about a video game since I played with my roommates back in my college days.  I can't imagine buying madden 10 and not playing in a league like this.  Please watch this video if you still haven't made up your mind and maybe you'll think about joining us!  :D

That's 6 members from the union.  I'll be sending out friends request in the next couple days on XBL so make sure I have your gamertag correct.

I see your concern that this type of league may be easier to run with less owners, but I plan to test the online franchise experience to it's limits. 

In order to do this I will never limit the number of players for this league.  That doesn't mean I'll grab any 10 yo that can click on the "sign up" button.  I don't want to limit the owners team picks based on divisions just for interesting playoffs.

The only limits I will have is on the activity of the players involved.

The ultimate goal iw to have close to a full 32 man league with active owners.  If we get a nice core of solid owners in early we can keep the league going as I switch out the bad ones.  Over time the league will solidify into something great. 

Good stuff, unfortunately I don't have a 360 so can't participate.

Move in is the 27th, you can count on me getting my and his electronic stuff up that day.  Well before the regular season begins.

I don't see a problem, he's already told me I can play it, all I need to do is get the game, or let him get it, and its one game a week, right?  I'll be able to do that easy.  The only question is if he'll let me use his Live account, but I see no reason why he wouldn't.

I have to say that this interface is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.  :P

 You can do everything.. change depth chart..trades.. the stats are unbelievable.. free agency.

OK, new plan.  I am unable to change the league from a password protected league to an open league at will.  A lot of the people that signed up here have not purchased the game yet.  

What I am going to do then is wait until Sunday August 16th at 1pm and make the league.  It will be first come 1st serve after that.  I imagine that it will take a few days to fill.  The leagues that are being created are filling up fast and I am envious.  IF YOU SIGNED UP HERE ALREADY and someone I do not know has taken your team I WILL MAKE AN EXCEPTION UPON REQUEST to fire the owner so that you can join.  This type of request will only be available until Wednesday 19th and I will ONLY do this for owners in this forum that have already signed up for the respective team.  Basically this gives you guys a 3 day window to get into the league with the team you signed up for.

Keeping it open will allow for owners to come and go freely until we have a solid league.  This sounds bad.. but it allows us to easily keep the league full of active owners.  Although, I can't imagine something like this being rewarding unless you stick with it.

Better open up Tennessee for someone else, doubt I can make that timeline.

But I might make another league right before the season starts. I found knew that the XBox at my workplace got RROD a long time ago, but I didn't know that you don't need PoP, and that they will do the repair, warranty or no, so I'm going to try to get it on Monday. Might not give it up, but I'm going to try.

I honestly never take game manuals out of the box.  I wonder how many people did the same thing I did?  

LEAGUE UPDATE:

 The league is up and there IS a password on it.  What is happening to many leagues is that a guy will come in and play a match against the CPU for an easy win and sabotage the other teams.

We'll have to be patient, but we need to recruit quality players from these boards, real life, and from good game sessions.  I'm hoping we can advertise enough to get the league going by the end of the week.

this is bad timing, but my 360 broke and i cant just send it in to microsoft to get it repaired for free because it aint the red rings......................its the laser so i gota pay outa my wallet. you guys can go on if u want without me because i mught take 2-3 weeks

I hate that for you man.  Honestly, I'm sure the league will still be around.  We may get started befor then, but it doesn't look like we'll be a full league that soon.  I do have 3 RL friends that aren't buying the game until next weekend.

I sent out a ton of invites to my friends at **** but they have organized a league there and just invited me to join theirs.  I'm going to go ahead and join their league as well.

You can join it if you have a goal line blitz account.  Their league is in about the same shape as ours.  I think a few might migrate over.  If you play in online sessions with other users please try to get a conversation going and invite them at your discression.  

I think we should go ahead with our franchise.  The 32 team franchises are really struggling to finish week one!  People will always be welcome to join in and turn around one of the CPU teams, but I think it's time to get this partay started.

The Franchise Officially begins Today!!  All teams are open first come first server regardless of what has been posted in the forums.

If you're game is not played by MONDAY AUGUST 24th your game will be simulated and we'll advance to week 2.  What I would like is for us to get all the games in earlier so that I can advance it before Monday.

We've advanced to Week 2. Games are due by next Monday again.

I added an accelarated clock to speed the games up some. The games were simply too long if you call plays quickly. Almost everybody got their games in.

 Yep, the league did die.  I blame myself for not recruiting outside of these forums.  I am in two other leagues that are going strong though.
