I have a LG Optimus 3D and the Android version is 2.2.2. Is it possible for me to get the latest version?

Might be able to get 2.3 but if you want ics you'll need to root, few phones get software updates.

you can pretty much say never buy anything other than a nexus if you want updates. Samsung is only slightly better than lg at updating phones and lg is acutally releasing non flagship phones with ics unlike samsung which is only giving you ics if you get the s3 otherwise you get last years dated 2.3 even on a brand spanking new dual core phone.

Comon get real samsung provided timely froyo and gingerbread updates for galaxy S1. They provided timely ICS update to the galaxy S2 and slightly delayed for galaxy note. What are you talking about? The S2 and note also have ICS.

Nobody is talking about non flagship samsung phones, you cant judge a company by it's mid range phones. The LG optimus 3D is a flagship phone and it got gingerbread at the end of 2011 a whole year after launch. It still doesnt have ICS, LG was the first with a dual core phone in the optimus 2X and it never got the ICS update, LG seemed to have cancelled it. The optimus 2X was still on froyo when galaxy nexus launched and only got gingerbread right AFTER ICS was launched. There is no more a joke company than LG who the hell cares if they have released some mid range phone with ICS? You have plenty of budget choice of phones running ICS.

Put it simply there is no comparison between LG and samsung.
