My iPad 2, and with it my grey leather smart cover and tucano turtleback case are going on a year old now, and the cases are on their last legs. The Smartcover has so much dirt and crap I can't seem to clean off either side that it's just starting to look like crap and the turtleback is loosening up in its old age, and the magnet in the back that was oh so handy is now refusing to stay it, my Smartcover tearing it out each time it's folded back. Now, I'm looking at a new case, and always like to look first party before other options. If you can, please awnser these questions... 1. I hear the case is fairly loose, but I havn't heard if this is model specific, or a defect with some cases, or all of them. Can anyone confirm? 2. I use my iPad in landscape pretty much constantly, and use the smart cover to prop it up while watching netflix. Does the extra bulk produce any issues? 3. The extra magnet on the back of my current case was a godsent, and kept my Smartcover pretty much flush with the case while holding it. Does the smart case produce such an effect, or does it flop around?
Oh. Yeah, the case didn't look like it provided protection. I have the smart cover, which is on almost all the time. In addition to that I'll use a 10in soft case I had already owned. Finally, when I am out on the bicycle, I use the Pelican case--very sturdy, keeps peace of mind. High quality foam, fits the AC, fits a stylus, fits the keyboard, fits the iPad snug with the cover on, and it is constructed in a way which allows metro prop the iPad upright.
