Then why wont they let users go into the app them selves to backup the app data to use on other phones so I wouldnt have to startover on my gaming apps everytime I

get a new phone without jail breaking?

Its the only thing keeping me from getting an android and keeping it. :(

that only lets you explore the sd card contents, can touch the app data unless you root.

To fully take advantage of the "openness" you have to root which is fairly simple to do...

They dont let you change system files so noobs dont accidentally do it which are the majority of users. The smartphone has to cater more to noobs than a computer. I think google should have a more robust backup system for non-rooted users it's pretty much the only thing android is lacking now.

thats true about esexplorer, ive tried it and i would root it but idk why i dont like doing that stuff to gadgets i use. (i didnt even jailbreak my ipod.)

I hope they make something like that in the future. It is cool that they got gift cards for google play now but i think they need to quit making more firmware updates and work

on these problems insted. They just came out with jellybean but no one barely even uses ice cream sandwhich yet :(
