It's a bit of a dilemma for me at the moment. I want to start using my Windows Phone again, but my 830 is rather unpleasant to look at because of the cracked screen and a scratch on the edge (this part which is hidden in the case, anyway). I'm considering replacing the phone altogether. However, I've only read mixed reviews for the new 650 such as the underpowered processor and that makes me nervous. I do really like the 650 design, how professional it looks in comparison to the 830 with the neon green back cover and case. I'm also a huge fan of the price as I don't want to shell out more than $300 for a new phone and this will set me back only $245 on the Microsoft Store, case included. I want this phone to carry me over until next year when a new Lumia (hearing the line may be discounted altogether, however) or Surface phone comes out and upgrade to that. So, which route should I go down? Upgrade to 650 or repair the 830?

The 650's processor is about as fast as the 830's but more power efficient. I would also suggest, if you are in the US to buy a Lumia 640. The 650 is slightly fancier, but you can find the 640 for $30 pretty easily.

I decided to go with the 650 than repairing my 830 or opting for the cheaper 640. I really like the design of the new 650 and I figured I should reward them finally coming out with a good design...
