Would you feel weird rocking an original Gameboy in public?

I do from time to time and I cant help but notice I get some strange looks and stares from people. I like to imagine they're all just jealous. :)

I'd probably feel weird, yeah. But I wouldn't let it bother me too much.

Just dress 90's style and have your hair cut blockhead Duke Nukem style and all will be well !

Funny coincidence, a FB page I follow posted a pick of this kid rocking a walkman and playing a GBC on the bus.

Somehow I feel like I can do anything now.

Probably a little, only because I barely take handhelds with me anywhere. So I'd feel just as odd with a 3DS or Vita.

I might feel a bit weird, but I would probably just laugh if I got any strange looks. I'd rather take my GBA advance SP though.

This. I would never want to go back to the non-backlit screen. Unless you were directly under a light it was impossible to see the screen. I still have my original gameboy though. The dpad and buttons are ridiculously loose because I used it so much as a kid.

I frequently use my old handhelds, and I do not feel weird at all. in fact, I find it funny when people stare at me. and it also gets me comments from older people that remember the old handhelds.

I feel weird even using my Vita in public, lol. Probably because I'm almost 35
