Public Enemies was GARBAGE!!

Yeah, it blew. Review is in my blog.

I was actually a bit nicer to the film than you are being...but still, it sucked. :P

But the scenes set in Wisconsin were awesome, right? Right?CJL13

So the summer movies have been horrible I see.......

I'll probably see Fighting. After that I'm done with paying $10 for a movie.

I found the first half boring outside a couple scenes, but I thought it got better as it went along, I personally love the atmosphere of the times, so pretty much the mere existance of them appearing on set, was enough to tickle my 30s gangster fancy, the music that played at times as well.

It was not as great as I was expecting, considering 30s gangster vibe + bale + depp, but I still found it to be a good movie, I guess you just have to be into that kind of stuff, I pretty much have the same opinion about micheal bay films, clearly mindless explosions with no plot don't work on me, the same way 30s gangster flicks based off true stories don't work on you, I suppose?

What bothers me isn't so much that people don't like the film, but people who can enjoy garbage like Transformers 2 can even begin to talk bad about this. Whether it be user reviews on imdb, or critics on RT, Public Enemies >>>>>>>>>> Transformers 2.

NO sugar coating, this is the single worst movie I have watched in a long time. This movie like completely lacked any character development/plot development. Scenes just happened, there was no rhyme or reason to them, and there was not a single moment of this movie that I enjoyed. This was HORRIBLE!!

Now we have alot of movie buffs on GUFU(Makki, Liquid, Allxjin, Sammyjenkis, Trey, G-man, etc), so for those of you that saw this movie and have some disagreements please enlighten me on what I was missing, because this movie WAS HORRIBLE!!!

I would rather have sex with Ironbass's mother and get Chlamydia than watch this movie again.

1- Who should be blamed?

2- DId this movie have any saving point?

3- How bad does a movie need to be for you to rather suffer the pains of Chlamydia?

4- Can a short person "Talk Down" to a taller person?jg4xchamp

I generally enjoyed it - I thought it was good but probably Johnny Depps weakest performance(out of everything I've seen him in).

I was also amazingly tired last night so I was kinda not paying full attention to take that for what it's worth.

Now I'm extremely curious, and still want to see it.

How could it be bad? Johnny-freakin'-Depp and Christian-freakin'-Bale in a gangster movie?

Easy, you make it boring, you make sure there is almost zero plot development and character development and you have a horrible movie. jg4xchamp

That sounds pretty bad. It's sad, because the plot and cast sound very promising.

I disagree, in Terminator and Public Enemies, he wasn't there in quantity, to see if there would be any quality, he had minor roles ultimately in both, even though he was the poster boy for Terminator, he was still not in the movie much, I don't think he has declined for any role when hes a dedicated major character, and both the roles I mentioned seemed fairly poorly written in the first place.

I really had semi-high hopes of this movie. :( I haven't read up on any reviews yet, until this one. Bummer v___v

At least Harry Potter is around the corner. :? This summer has been sorta lackluster as far as movies go. (and if you haven't seen Hangover, I recommend it ^___^ )
