How open-minded are you?

How open-minded are you guys? Are you accepting of other people's races, religions, sexual preferences, cultures, personality traits etc?

If 0 is the least open-minded you can be, and 10 is the most open-minded you can be, where would you fit on the scale?

Do you avoid a certain race simply because they are of that race? Do you have anything against people who don't share your religious, or non-religious beliefs?

I would say 9. I sometimes think or feel a way about certain people groups, especially political believes, but I never lets such feelings decide the way I act. I approach every induvidual with an open mind.

There are a few exceptions though, such as extremeists in any category, I don't like those. I guess those I have the biggest problem with showing an open mind to are those who fail to do so themselves.

Race and Religion aren't a factor to me when it comes to talking/hanging out with someone.-Zaku-

Any race, creed, religion, etc just so long as they are polite and not stupid, and I am meaning common sense stupid in this post.

Im not against anyone, is just out-of-the-closet gay people who think they can kiss each other in public and speak out loud about their preferences.....for the inside-of-the-closet I have nothing against since they act like normal poeple.

I think it's a bit strange to be bothered by people speaking about their sexual preference - so if I say "I like women with avoirdupois posteriors and I cannot prevaricate" it's acceptable, but if my girlfriend says it, it becomes offensive? If a guy says to me "I like dudes" I'm afraid my automatic response would be "that's cool, I like cheeseburgers".

As far as PDAs (public displays of affection - not the useless little electronic day planners) go, the acceptability is the same regardless of sexual orientation. It would be rather hypocritical to say "you're gay - you can't kiss in public" when the line for heterosexuals is somewhere at "don't get your girlfriend pregnant in public". There's a time and place for everything, I simply don't see why it would have to change for homosexuals.

As far as the the "inisde-of-the-closet I have nothing against since they act like normal people" - I'm not touching that with a ten-foot pole. Frankly, I'm far more concerned about the average Walmart shopper than the guys snogging outside a Starbucks. Ahh, you... to be young and afraid of gay-people. Someday you'll be old and afraid of what you call "normal people", which I assure you is a far more rational fear.

As far as open-mindedness, an active-mind is far more vital... an open-mind without activity is like the front-door hanging open to an abandoned house.

I'm pretty tolerant, although I'll act a little odd around the Mentally handicapped, I control myself as well as I can.

Sometimes, certain things I find to be a turn off, but I tolerate it. I'm only human. Otherwise, I'm fairly open-minded. I'm not a saint, so I do have certain biases. I may not have found any apparently, but I'm sure if I think hard enough, I find things that don't click with me. Same-sex marriages...that's actually ok in my book, actually. Religion is fine, as long as it doesn't condone killing, all that other stuff, things that are just cruel in my view don't float well with me. Race isn't an even an issue with me.

But being serious, I think I didnt make myself clear (darn I almost failed english test with a 73) but I tried to say I dont like gay people acting to geyish, and as also I dont like heterosexual like doing it in front of everybody, thats why Im trying to mean. Gay can hold hands yes, no problem with that, heterosexual and homosexual people frenching each other in public areas GET A ROOM PLEASE...
