What did you think of FFXIII-2 overall? I only put in like 8 hours, feels kind of all over the place. Still much better than XIII tho. Â

Much better battle system and pacing. The story is pretty meh, but at least it doesn't bog down the rest. Being able to explore and go to different places makes things much more open ended. I'm quite happy to be going back and collecting things. It reminds me of the side quests from FFVIII and IX.
Beat Arkham City yesterday. Not as good as a lot of people were saying, liked it a lot though.
BF3 single player. I don't know why I or DICE bothered with this lowly piece of sputum and it should die in an inferno. Anyone who liked it should feel bad.
Uncharted 3. Better than 2 when you compare each and every element but as total packages I like 'em about the same.
Space Marine. Gears of Warhammer, dumb fun.
Bastion. One of exblah's best.
Skyrim, Legend of Zelda: TP, Stranger's Wrath HD and Dark Souls have been unfinished for months.
How? Melee combat and puzzles. Half assed but better. The same "hunt for relics, go to ancient hidden city" story spiel but a look into Drake's past. A somewhat more interesting villain than that Russian wanker and better battle/ending. Improved coop. Split screen. Additions/ tweaks like grenade throwbacks, vertical shooting, aeriel takedowns, shield takedowns. Set pieces at least match AT's. My memory is sh!t but all I can think that AT has over DD is pacing, length and better usage of side characters.[QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]

Actually I will add that DD was buggier than its predeccesors.
Resident Evil Revelations. Probably the best RE you're going to find on a handheld. Raid mode is sort of like Mercenaries except it takes far too much grinding to unlock characters and outfits.
Bastion, yet another excellent and unique title which I'm putting alongside Braid and LIMBO in my list of elite indie games.
Rayman Origins. Quite frankly the best 2D platformer this gen.Â
Mass Effect 2. I beat it before but they keep releasing god damned DLC. Terrible, terrible DLC. It's back to 100% now. Other than that, Battlefield 3, Skyrim (main quest line anyway... is it ever really beatable?), Halo Anniversary, Rayman Origins (amazing game!), Gears of War 3 (insane'd that ****) and Alan Wake: American Nightmare.
Next to get its ass kicked: Vanquish, finally.

Have you played Dragon Age Origins or it's DLC? After going through DA: O's DLC that, ME2's DLC seemed like a god send ;_;
I liked the shadow broker DLC, the rest were eh. Â

Yeah, it's a heck of a lot better than trial and error in tight corners. :P

A lot of people seemed to buy Dragon Age with excitement and then play it to find out it was garbage. I dunno why, it always looked like garbage before it even came out. A lot of people seemed to buy Dragon Age with excitement and then play it to find out it was garbage. Ninja-Hippo
I actually love Dragon Age: Origins, it just has horrible DLC. :P
I can understand what people would not like about it though, the slight throwback to older RPGs goes both ways.Â

Miracle. You need the soul of the last boss of world 4 to get it though, and I think that whole world would be pretty hard without ranged stuff.
I beat Layton and the Last Specter this morning. Decent Layton, but the first and third ones were better. But that RPG, London Life? That seems, like, incredible. It might just be better than the 'main' game.Cherokee_Jack
I liked first and second most cause first was original and second had CHOO CHOOs and I love choo choos. Third had a number of really lame puzzles like "WHICH OF THESE BUILDINGS HAS SICK OR HURT PEOPLE" man could it be the hospital? And that one puzzle where the guy crafted a heart out of his book to show his love, but there was no context or clue for it, a bunch of puzzles like that in three made me meh. Haven't beaten 4 yet though, but Layton 1 and 2 are like some of my favorite DS games.Â
Binary Domain. It's my early candidate for GOTY.
I'm dead f*cking serious.

I do love the yakuza team, but I've basically never read much into the game. I may have to check it out. Â

I just like the characters a lot better in both 3 and 4 than in 2.Journey. Gorgeous, amazing music, and it's going to be worth several play throughs. Should have been 9.99 based on the 2.5 hour finish time, but I don't mind paying a little extra for a game this amazing. It's not for everyone though.
