Royals set another MLB all time record!

The only team to be 8 games or more back after the first month, April, 3 years in a row!!  Way to go guys!!  Kepp making me proud!  :cry:

Slight correction, they are the first team to be 10 games below .500 after the month of April, 3 years in a row.  That's not that different than being 8 games back but just wanted to get the exact record worded right.

The Royals are owned by one of the Wal-Mart clowns. This team is all about making money for one of the richest families in America. Any K.C. Royals fan is a true fan because they do not want to win,but just give their owners more cash.roulettethedog

Yes it's true that David Glass is one of the worst owners in baseball.  But he is not that rich as far as owners go, infact he is the "poorest" owner in baseball with a net worth estimated at around 300-400 million.  I think he is just about the only non-billionaire owner in baseball.  Maybe that's how he justifies being such a cheap a$$.

The Royals were great in the 80s because of Kaufman and because we had one of the highest payrolls in baseball then.  Because Kansas City is the smallest baseball market the owner has to spend a lot more than other teams.  That's why you see teams that are spending less than the Royals but doing much better.
