Yankees rookie pitcher Phil Hughes with a no-hitter into the 6th with this being his second start.

First the nets lose, now Hughes is injured when he was pitching a no hitter, this has not been a good night. :(

Who was the person on here that said Hughes looked like a bust after his first start? First start still had a nice 5 K's to 1 BB.

And this start was impressive as well. But back on subject, neither start means nothing right now in the long run if he will be a great, good, ok, average, bad or a bust starter.

Good riddance. The guy apparently had an unorthodox apporach to conditioning and the players weren't happy with his methods. Someone's got to take the blame, there's been an unprecedented amount of muscle pulls and strains to open the season. A change can only help, it can't get any worse.

A-Rod alone is good enough to keep them in contention until their pitching returns.
