Season starts tomorrow on TNT with two interesting matchups.

Mavs @ Spurs plus Rockets @ Lakers. Plus a non-televised Magic vs. Pelicans game.

Spurs over Cavs in finals, Lebron wins the NBA MVP, not really sure about seeding.

Also it is HILARIOUS that Steve "old fogey" Nash got hurt before the season even started,.

I like the Heat again.

http://www.nba.com/heat/video/2014/10/28/HEATNationShortFilm_2mov/

Lebron will tear his vagina in the first game and Kevlin Love will break his jaw sucking Lebron's dick. Heat win the ECF again and sweep the Spurs in the Finals. #HeatNation

I love watching Dirk's transition from clean cut to All-NBA Hair. The best.

PS: Am I really gonna have to listen to Greg Anthony and Grant Hill with Marv Albert this season? Way to **** up your main announcing team.

@Master_Live: None of them are obnoxious homers like some teams' announcers (Clippers, Rockets) and to be honest I never gave a sh!t about Albert, just the dudes he called games with (MJax and Kerr)

They were done for long before that. Lakers aren't a playoff team, Even with Kobe, I can't see them going much better than .500.

Parsons sucked in game one, and Ariza did his job. Every Ariza made FG was behind the arc, which is nice to see. He doesn't have to be a playmaker. I know Parsons (still my boy) much better than what he showed yesterday.

The commentators mentioned yesterday that Ariza made most his threes off John Wall penetration, even if true, it doesn't matter, Harden and Howard collapse the defense so much more than Wall.

Marv Albert was better in the old days. I'm surprise he still calls games though. Greg Anthony isn't bad from times I heard him. No comment on Grant Hill yet.

But the main announcing team should be Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller and Chris Webber.

Good win by Rockets. We should start 4-0 since we play Boston and then Philly. I walked into this season kind of worried, but with Lin/Parsons struggles and Ariza doing well, I could see us being a top 4 seed again.

Asik killed it his first game. Glad he's getting the playing time he deserved.

We know damn well the Heat ain't no 76ers. Heat will hang on to capture the 5th or 6th seed at the very least.

Mike and Mike are the worst. Just some nerdy jew and fat **** O-lineman who was molested at Notre Dame who don't know shit. ESPN is crap.

Also, I find it amazing Lebron is trying to be an egomaniac and take over the Cavs franchise acting like he's a fucking savior and hero. He's a literal egomaniac. I hope the Cavs never win a title with him there, or even better, he leaves after 2 years after saying he's all in with the Cavs.

Knicks should make Tim Hardaway Jr. at least their 3rd option out of the bench. The kid needs to play.

@Master_Live: Not taking away anything major, but I loved our defense. Keeping Parker, Green and Leonard to such poor shooting was great (Leonard's stats are slightly inflated, he played a lot against our deep bench). Both Harden and Howard have been great this year.

Speaking of which, NBA.com stats page is amazing.

The SportsVU cameras have shown numerous improvements to our team defense, especially Harden,

Rockets are top 5 in Opp FG% 5 feet from the basket, top 5 in Opp FG% from behind the arc, and 1st overall in Opp FG% (Holding opp. to a league low 26% from behind the arc).

Seriously, NBA.com has really stepped up it's game.

http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/player/

Most Catch and Shoot 3's? Ariza
Most pull up shots? Kobe (not surprising...)

Harden passes to Howard the 6th most on the team (only 8.9% of the time)

Sorry, Harden is better than Curry. That's something you have to deal with on a personal level.

I missed the first half of the game, what a terrible time for Dwight to get the flu... I look forward to GS vs HOU matchups.

Lakers are hanging in some of their games. As much of a fan I am of Kobe, he's got to lower his shot attempts, especially shooting below 40%.

What's going on in Toronto (7-1), have they played anybody, or, are they that good (I know it's early)?

@mont13: Raptors are a good team, but there current record is thanks in most part to

1. Schedule (most teams they have played so far are/will be bottom feeders- Orlando twice, KD and WB-less Thunder, Philly, to a certain extent Boston)
2. Health. To my knowledge, the Raptors have been remarkably healthy this years thus far. I don't think a single starter has missed a game all years, something most teams can't say even this early in the season

So... I go to ESPN to read some articles and I notice the 76ers are losing to the Mavs by more than 40... in the first half. WTF?

I'm all for tanking, but you can't make yourself so incompetent that your best trade assets look like garbage. You can't lose like this an establish any kind of culture.

Maybe Durant and Westbrook can come to GS and carry Curry to a finals appearance too. Ever since Hardens had his own team, he hasn't even made THE SECOND ROUND BWAHAHAHAHHA. And thats with Howard and Parsons. Dudes anus gets routinely stuffed, just accept it.

@Master_Live: As is the 'he chocked in the finals' argument against Harden. I don't hold anything against Curry, top 10 player, but he's not better than Harden. People underestimate the value of drawing fouls, and Harden is the best at it in the NBA. Drawing fouls get you easy points (even Dwight averages about a point per possession with just FTs), your opp. to go to a player who is likely worse, makes defenders play more cautiously.

There is no denying Curry is a better shooters, but in today's NBA you want a Harden who can get you 25+ points on just 12-14 FGA, taking some of the better players out of the game. I remember Harden did it to GS the game we destroyed them, taking Thompson out of the game by getting him into early foul trouble.

Durant and Westbrook carried him to the finals? You should really revisit that Thunder/Spurs series.

Harden has been on the Rockets for 2 years. His first year on the Rockets, he joined 2 days before the season started. Many people saw us pre-season as a team that was TANKING and would finish bottom 3 in the West.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--nba-power-rankings-24341909.html

And lets be honest, you guys really didn't know who Parsons was two years ago before Harden joined. Are you going to hold it against them that team to lost to the Thunder in several very competitive games?

Last year was a painful series. Every game was close.

Losing close games actually means a lot. Basketball is a series of seemingly random calls through the game. Some call go your way, others don't, and those missed calls can effect the outcome of entire series.

A missed call that comes to mind is this happened 2 years ago, during the Rockets/Thunder series

Close calls shows that you are always in a game, even when random/lucky things go against you.

'Curry got second round his first year in the playoffs'
Took Curry 4 years to get into the playoffs. Harden has never missed them.

Lebron needed three seasons to make the playoffs. so Harden >>>> James? cmon brah chill with the reaching

like i said, give curry durant + WB and give Harden david lee and keith smart as a coach and lets see what happens. what a sorry ass argument.

Curry got fouled on a potential game winner (by ref's cumdumpster CP3 IN OAKLAND NO LESS) that wasn't called. dubs lost and as a result were down 1-2. Dubs win the next game by 20+. If that call gets made the dubs are 2/2 at making the second round. but guess what they didnt. discussion over. Keep trying to make yourself feel better about your sorry ass team getting smacked in the first round (6 games lol)

Harden hasn't stepped it up in the playoffs. make yourself feel better about that however you want to. enjoy the 3-hour long regular season games while your at it
