This is a poll but also will serve as the series topic while we get the old threads back.

Let's go Tigers!

#3 Posted by Master_Live (13997 posts) -

I got Tigers in 7.

Wow I don't know who too root against in this series.

#5 Posted by Boston_Boyy (3907 posts) -

Not feeling good about the series after tonight. In addition the whole punchless offense thing we've lost homefield advantage and still have to face Scherzer and Verlander before heading back to Boston.

#6 Posted by Blabadon (25682 posts) -

Good match-up yesterday, but the one run only scares me, even against Boston's great pitching.

Getting hits was something that happened at least. I really can't stand Tigers baserunning though #FireBrookens

Red Sox need to stop bitching about every strike called.

#8 Posted by Boston_Boyy (3907 posts) -

Boy, that escalated quickly.

#9 Posted by Braun_Roid_Rage (716 posts) -

Damn Tigers bent them over that inning.

You had one job, Benoit.

One. Job.

Nice choke Detroit.

#12 Posted by Blabadon (25682 posts) -

Indeed, holy mother of all chokejobs, that was horrendous.

Ortiz with that postseason magic. Might give the Sox an edge in the series.

#14 Edited by Master_Live (13997 posts) -

Well, Lackey really un-sucked tonight.

#15 Posted by Boston_Boyy (3907 posts) -

Some truly incredible performances so far this series. I honestly believe it's going 7.

Wow another miracle win by the Sox. Really not liking this ****.

Why is it that our hitters seem to go to sleep everytime Verlander is up? He does his damn job of pitching the other team out, but God forbid one lucky solo home run hit happens and the hit squad that has put up games of 16 runs at one point in this year can't manage to get a single run in....

The grandslam choke job last game was bad enough, but to follow it up with a lame performance like this is disheartening.

They need to get their **** together and take this series already because I am starting to actually worry....

Lackey pitched a gem last night for sure. Lets go Red Sox!

It's called playoff pitching, you know they are good.

I know the pitchers are good, but there is something weird going on where whenever Verlander's up, are batters don't hit ****. We have other good pitchers who when they are up our hitters go and do their job even though they are still going up against other good pitchers.

There was a stat that was said on the broadcast last night that this has happened 3 of the last 4 times Verlander was up.

It just makes no sense that such a strong hitting staff can't get a SINGLE RUN when Verlander is up doing his job, yet don't have this problem when other pitchers are up.

Red Sox will win after they beat Verlander last night.

Agreed

I want the Tigers to just take the rest of these games, but I have to admit I definitely see this going to game 7.

Unless one of these teams chokes up bad these next two games the series will probably go to game 7.

#23 Posted by Braun_Roid_Rage (716 posts) -

Red Sox need this game tonight cuz Scherzer pitching next game.

#24 Posted by Braun_Roid_Rage (716 posts) -

Cabrera haha what a moron.

#25 Posted by Boston_Boyy (3907 posts) -

Cabrera's looking shaky tonight.

#26 Posted by Braun_Roid_Rage (716 posts) -

Napoli a monster

#27 Posted by LostProphetFLCL (17075 posts) -

Cabrera's looking shaky tonight.

Haven't both him and Fielder not been doing too great post-season?

Also, not liking the way this game is going tonight....

Another also, WTF is with that Red Sox guy just plowing into Avilla? Like I know he was running towards home, but calm the **** down...

#28 Posted by Braun_Roid_Rage (716 posts) -

^ GTFO man it's postseason baseball. Nothing wrong with that play at the plate.

#29 Posted by GotFiveRings (375 posts) -
#30 Posted by LostProphetFLCL (17075 posts) -

Can we just fire Coke already? The man comes out, throws a pitch, and then gets pulled.

He is a terrible pitcher and I really think they need to just let him go already.

#31 Posted by LostProphetFLCL (17075 posts) -

Also, after the disheartening start to this game, the game is getting REALLY interesting!

#33 Posted by LostProphetFLCL (17075 posts) -

Damn prophet you whine a lot. What a game though.

Not sure what the hell is up your ass but I recommend removing it. Trying to talk about the game on here and I just get you sitting here ********.

#37 Posted by Braun_Roid_Rage (716 posts) -

#38 Edited by LostProphetFLCL (17075 posts) -

Uehara is stressing out big time. Thinking he might choke!

#39 Edited by Braun_Roid_Rage (716 posts) -

Still say 7. Doubt Boston can beat Scherzer.

#40 Posted by Put_in_Kitna (2602 posts) -

Crazy eyes is going to get fucked.

If Detroit takes the next game then it is going to be an even more uphill game for Boston with them going against Verlander in game 7 with the way he has been pitching post-season.

It will be a tough end to the series regardless who wins. As long as the hitters show up to play for Detroit, Boston will have a hard fight ahead of them to get that last win.

#43 Posted by Braun_Roid_Rage (716 posts) -

Cabrera's dumb ass running that stop sign might of fucked the Tigers. We'll see, Fenway will be nuts next game.
