I'm really excited or Hotline Miami 2 and Axiom Verge. Loved the first Hotline Miami and second one looks great (multiple characters and level editor!) and axiom Verge looks like a darker version of Metroid. And I've been craving a new Metroid game for a long time.

@turtlethetaffer:

You might want to check out ReVen - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/variagames/reven

It's heavily inspired by Metroid.

I forgot about it xD

@Star0: So what I got from it is it's exploration based like Metroid but more about customizing your armor (which looks kick ass) and weapons and stuff. Yeah that looks pretty cool. Might get it if it's ever released.

Just No Man's Sky. I'm also looking forward to Mighty No. 9 but is that considered indie.

Pier Solar HD and AVGN Adventures. Pier Solar HD has been especially aggravating because the developers have set, and let lapse, quite literally over a dozen different release dates. They usually don't comment on it until about two weeks after the lapsed release date either. This time they are being held up by Microsoft certification for the Xbox One version, so it is holding up every other version. Which is just maddening since we all know that's likely to be the single worst selling version any damn way.

The people behind AVGN Adevntures have been wise to not set a date, though they did say the Wii U version is coming "soonish", and they hinted at other versions being revealed. (I'm betting on it popping up on PS4)

I would say Mighty No. 9 is a AA or something like that. It has a a huge pro behind it for it to be called an indie game. It more like a pro dream project.

Yeah that's what I think as well. I wouldn't classify it as indie.

This happens all the time. I mean who do you think made Papers, Please? Industry veterans branch off to do there own thing--not on their mother company's payroll-- all the time. Securing their own funds to make and publish their game is what makes the game an independent project, not the prestige of the developers who make it.

Oooh nice. What's Rainworld about? It looks nice...but.

Ori looks fantastic. A bit like Child of Light, at least graphically speaking, and a whole lot of Metroid influence.

Abzu! I lost my bookmarks lol. Excited about this one!

Aegis Defenders....WOW! I love the tower defence elements and the visuals are stunning! Thanks for letting me know about this one.

Classroom Aquatic...-__-

@Chozofication

What?!!! The scanlines are beautiful! I've heard a lot of people complain about this. I hope the developers stick to their guns or to please everyone add an option to turn it off.

Pier Solar HD, and Soul Saga Episode 1. I dunno if I'd consider the group behind Project Cars indie. I think they finally picked a publisher. Oh and Mighty no. 9. That game looks like what Mega Man should look like.

@Star0:

Rainworld was a game that was funded on Kickstarter earlier in the year. You play as a slugcat and have to survive the wilds of the Rain World. I haven't been keeping too close of tabs on it because it was just funded a couple months ago which probably means it will be awhile before it comes out, but it had some really cool animations.

I was extremely impressed with the creativity of the Aegis Defenders as well. It seems like a nice spin on the Tower Defense genre.

Don't you be dissing Classroom Aquatic that game had me laughing out loud at the trailer.
