Crysis 2

I love Crysis 2, it's one of my favorite FPSs.

@bowchicka07: I definitely hated ffxii. Not the first time I played it, but I tried playing it again this year.. worst game in the series IMO.
With me, it's most often not enjoying a lot of the games that everybody seems to praise; TLOU, Witcher, Dark Souls, Bioshock Infinite, Remember Me etc...
As for games I enjoyed lately that most people seem to hate (mostly based on changes they made to previous games): DMC, TMNT: Out of The Shadows, RE6 (Yes, it was the worst so far, and it's frustrating but not as bad as everybody says it is), SFxTekken (as a PC gamer, this is the only way I'm getting some Tekken, so ever with the shitty in-disk locked content...),

I second this.
I just started playing Final Fantasy 13, and I am going to add it to my list. I am really enjoying it. =)
FFXIII. That Black Knight guy is the only user I've seen on here that doesn't hate it. Game gets way too much flack. Perfect game design and great combat.
I wouldn't say the game design is perfect, but I really enjoyed the combat, paradigm shifting and ATB cancelling was pretty fun.
Cold Fear, Fable.
Who in their right minds hate Fable 1?!?! let me at em! I'll put em straight!! =@
That said I have to admit to liking one game that I'm sure I'm going to cop a lot of hate for.... World of Warcraft. I know I know I'm ashamed of myself as well... It's just I haven't found any other MMO that makes such a light hearted enjoyable world like Blizzard have done with WoW =\ That's why I'm really hoping Wildstar lives up to all the hype.

I still think you might be in the minority.
Resident Evil 5. Seems like the entire Internet just hates that one (well, not as much anymore because most of that hate transferred over to RE6).
I like it. A lot. Sure, it wasn't very scary or Resident Evil-y, but it was a damn fun action game and was an absolute blast to play with a friend. I think I probably played through the game about 5 or 6 times with three different friends, and each playthough was just as fun and exciting as the last. One of my favorite games from last gen.

Maybe so, I just felt it was way too grindy and the battle system was way too automated. I really didn't get into the story or characters either.
Oh and anyways for the topic.
Nier, although it seems it just got bad reviews.
Enchanted Arms, I might be one of the only people that really really liked this game.
Viking, I thought it was awesome.
FFXIII, gets so much hate, but my fiancé and I really enjoyed it and FFXIII-2 as well. Excited to get Lightning Returns tomorrow!
kotor 2 is my all time favorite but i know a lot of people hated it because it was a glitchy broken game.
ffx-everyone hates any final fantasy after 7
ffxiii- i thought it was fine. it wasnt a great game, but i thought it was fun
mass effect 3-ending wasnt a big deal. i wanted a lot more closure, but it didnt deserve that much hate
tokyo highway battle- i dont know if everyone hated it but it got like a 2-4 rating on gs
thats all i could think of right now

It is unfortunate, but almost everyone I know hated the original Fable, Only a handful of people I know enjoyed it. Personally I could not put the game down. Honestly I have yet to try World of Warcraft. I am super late to the party.

I thought Crysis 2 was pretty entertaining. Certainly, not the best game, but it was fun.
heres some that come to mind
quest 64
south park the video game
atelier rorona
sonic 3d blast
Those games are awesome!
Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Lots of Melee fans despised it, but it still remains my most played Smash Bros. game ever. I actually have trouble adjusting whenever I play Melee again, although I can still beat the last two events in about an hour. [/smugbragging]
@good_sk8er7: No shit? I thought I was the only dude on the planet who liked Viking...
Hell no I love that game! I was beginning to think I was the only one also!
Remember enjoying Deus Ex: Invisible War. I played it before reading any review, expected it to be a 9/10 game, everyone like "Deus Ex just got better!". I got really into it. I was surprised to discover it's suppose to be a bad game and I was meant to hate it.
RE6- was an alright game, the only flaws it had was Leons last boss fight and the game could've been done w/o Jakes crappy campaign.
RE Outbreak- such an underrated game, probably one of the best RE games and barely anyone knows about it or cares
FF12- probably my 2nd fav FF game, would love a HD version instead of that crappy FFX HD
The Witcher- gets a lot of flak for being meh, honestly it's one of my fav WRPG's
Diablo 3- the loot system sucks but GD I love the class abilities.
I know most people prefer W2 but who the hell hates the Witcher 1? Imo better than 2 ( loved both games but the bigger maps and more variety on W1 made it my favorite )
@adamosmaki: A lot of people do prefer TW2 over TW1, and you'll be surprised on how many people actually didn't care or play TW1 (honestly I thought it was just as as good as TW2).
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and Call Of Duty as a whole. I have no idea how one can LOVE Uncharted 2 but absolutely despise Uncharted 3. If anything that tells me that you're probably not as big a fan of UC2 as you think you are.
Call Of Duty on the other hand gets an absurd amount of hate thrown at it and most of it is just noise and verbal diarrhea.
Splinter Cell Conviction.
Trash, absolute trash. Conviction isn't even a real Splinter Cell game. It wishes it were a Splinter Cell game but it's not. If you read Conviction' diary than you would know. Conviction is clearly depressed that it can't hang at the big boy party so it cries and writes poetry about Michael Bay's Transformers while the real Splinter Cell games discuss politics and solve world hunger.

^^I'm going to say this every time some one likes a game that I despise. It's the only logical thing to do.

That's what I'm saying! It's only logical.
Prince of Persia: Warrior within
Great pick. The level design on that game was amazing. The way it looped back on itself and used time to change the levels felt very cool. The boss fights and horrible game-breaking glitches were not so cool.
for me it's ez: two worlds 1. many people hate it and I and some others see the how great of game it actually is. the voice acting and dialogue is some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen in gaming. when I play it for people it, literally, cracks them up laughing. you see, a rpg sim like skyrim can't do the things like two worlds or saints row.
second: for me, kotor2. a huge improvement over the simplistic game that is the first. I can replay kotor2 again and again, but, cannot get myself to finish kotor1 even once again. it is a horribly simplistic game and, kotor2 easily dominates it in terms of gameplay. GAMEPLAY.
have to completely agree about warrior within and the forgotten sands. both are unbelievably fun. when I play them I constantly re-search the reviews and read the the things people didn't like about them. lol, some of the shoddiest "reviews" ever.
and, my last ones: fallout:nv and alpha protocol. for nv i'll simply state that it sold tons and so it's not really "underrated", yet, it deserves a mention. as for alpha protocol, lol: it is also one of the most underrated modern rpg's of all-time. the greatness of alpha is that the greatness of morrowind returns: character development.
as well, I feel compelled to add this: I have yet to buy all the cheap jrpg games and so I cannot argue the point, though, I would easily bet that there are "most overrated" and "most underrated" in that bunch, as well.
btw, gta 4 and 5 and tlou are the most overrated games in the history of gaming.
Just like almost everyone here the game that I loved but hated by most is FFXII. The game was revolutionary for a JRPG and give way to the creation of xenoblade and the last story plus the plot was as expected from Ivalice alliance which was politics heavy just like FFtactics and Vagrant story. LOVE IT !
