Will The Witcher 3 b GOTY 2015?

I know we are just shy of half way through the year, however I think with the buzz around The Witcher and with the incredible critical scores it has been receiving, would it be reasonable to suggest the crown will be heading The Witcher's way come December?

Let me know your thoughts, and any games queued up that could challenge to the title.

who knows..im sure it will win some goty awards just like MGSV, Batman, and Bloodborne will as well

MGSV

Arkham Knight

and Just Cause 3 and Mad Max might turn out to be great games

Well it's certainly in the list of top contendors.

It's a good possibility, but not etched in stone because several GS 10s didn't get GOTY here.

I suspect it's going to be a tough battle between The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain.

Good game = good game. That's all I need. Given its acclaim and high profile, it is likely it will be for a number of sites, but I'm sure some of the other hit titles will clinch the crown on other sites

There are still plenty of games coming out.

Probably not. Too early in the year for it to be a serious contender. I'm guessing some artsy game that's released in the September to November time frame.

It has a very good chance of being GOTY but so do some other games.

I think the only reasonable competition is MGSV. Ground zero had excellent stealth mechanics from what I've heard/seen (haven't played it). MGSV also seems imaginative, creative and ambitious enough.

Already outclasses Bloodborne (via GS score). Don't forget they'll be fighting for the Action RPG (or RPG genre itself) spot.

The main contender still lies with Batman and Metal Gear.

Batman still's on the way. Not getting a 10, but in the past ther've been games that scored lesser than others yet still won GotY.

BATMAN ARKHAM KNIGHT shall be the GotY !

Among the games that are being released, Arkham Knight and MGS V will definitely give it a run for its money and probably Rise of The Tomb Raider. Honestly, from what the impressions are saying about MGSV The Phantom Pain, I would say that it will most likely take it it. I am only saying this because while Arkham Knight will no doubt be amazing, I have played enough of the past games to have pretty good idea of the depth of the gameplay on the tactical side of things. Also, I have not played the most recent Tomb Raider and none of us no how far they are pushing things.

Hey guys, a new video of the witcher 3 has been released. I shows the the first hour of the game running in the xbox one. The video is in portuguese, but I think it's worthy watching. There are no important spoiler.

If Monster Hunter counts this year for GS? I'd give it my vote.

As awesome as Bloodborne is I don't think it holds up as well as the new MH.

Witcher 3 has a huge chanc,e as does Metal Gear V. Both of which I probably won't have time to play.

Have a hunch that BatMan game will be delayed till 2016.

It'll definitely be a contender... but still have a bunch of awesome games to come.

The series is now Console centric multiplatform, so that alone is going to greatly affect its chances of becoming GOTY. Not to mention, it looks like a solid game from what I've heard so far. Will see how users react to it after 3 days.

I'd say Bloodborne will. But hey, that's just me.

@RSM-HQ: there's no way Batman's getting delayed any longer. It's already been delayed twice (three times?). They can't afford to delay it again.

just a general question if anyone knows the answer i live in New Zealand as we are ahead in time i was wondering will we get the witcher 3 at midnight our time or will we have to wait till its 1:00am CEST time which would be close to the afternoon on the 19th here?

Here's hoping mgsv gets a 10/10 too.

Doubt it, A lot of people are buying into the hype without even knowing what kind of game it is. Casual players are gonna be upset when they get it and realize it's a hardcore RPG. I think people are expecting it to be like Skyrim when it's actually more like Dark Souls.

it has to go against mgs v , and i think mgs will take the title of game of the year.
