I'm looking for names of people not names of companies. (Konami isn't a person. Hideo Kojima is).

Some of my favorites are: David Jaffe, Shinji Mikami, and Shigeru Miyamoto.

probably Sid Meier for me. Although i didn't like Beyond Earth much. And the starships game or whatever it was called was very low budget looking. But Civilization series no doubt is one i put the most hours into and had the most fun since the very original.

I'm not sure why they are making an Expansion to Beyond earth to be honest. They have a gem in Civilization 5, if they even added some free updates and fixes to the game even more people would buy it. I didn't find Beyond Earth enough fun to play more than once.

I'll mention Richard Garriott also. Great games up to Ultima 7, but after that downhill. (UO was a classic though also). Ultima 8 was complete crap and so was Ultima 9.

And since im talking about hasbeens, maybe peter molyneux. Great games like Syndicate, Magic carpet 1-2, Dungeon Keeper, Theme Hospital, Populous. But since 2000 and beyond complete garbage from him.

Probably Taro Yoko. Genius at storytelling and delving into the questions of "what makes us sad?" and "why do people kill?".

Kojima, easily. I have a huge respect for Miyamoto, but I think he is way past his prime and is, along with a big part of Nintendo, completely out of touch with gaming.

Shinji Mikami, he created and developed my fav video game series, also making few other series I enjoy (Dino Crisis), I'm not sure but I think that on his insisting and authority Capcom agreed to release DMC when it was only a concept for Resident Evil. And many more games...

Nihon Falcom is everything I like to see in a JRPG studio, and right now they are the only studio in the industry who can sell me games just based on who they are.
