Whats up with lazy Game End Credits this gen?

I just beat bloodborne and it had the most generic boring credits ever

fades to black and just lists off names

back in my day we had epic endings with credits or adding bonus scenes

you had mario 3 with brand new music and all 8 stages with names of characters an stuff

you get DKC with another thing like that going on DURING SUPER NINTENDO devs thats how u knew gaming was fucking good is when u had like epic new music and names of enemies and stuff an gave some heart and soul to the game in the credit scenes and u actually cared to watch it

this is getting pathetic these "new" devs if you even wanna call them that don't know how to put in good scenes and make people feel good during an ending they don't what they are doing i bet indies do classier credits then these people.

look at those beautiful credit scenes this game had an epilogue with EVERY 12 characters in the game and even a bonus scenes during the credits NO GAME TODAY is doing what they did back then!

and in mario and donkey kong NINTENDO THANKS ME FOR beating the game personally and i like that a lot

these new games don't thank me one bit and are rude and charge me for everything

There's still games that do this. Nintendo still does it, Capcom still thanks players as well. It doesn't really seem all that different to me then it did back then. Not all games back then had grandiose and elaborate credit rolls either.

Credits are the least of Bloodborne's problems.

Besides it was the exact same way with Dark Trolls.

Very few games have epic credits sequences. What are you looking for exactly?

Also, don't start @Lulu_Lulu. You haven't played Bloodborne, so don't say anything until you do.

@Topic: Bloodborne's end credits are good, they're there so you can reflect on what you just experienced. Not to celebrate the end of the game.

I care more about the game's actual ending than its credits, so...

let us hear those bloodborne problems straight from the guy who hasn't even played it, just like dark souls.

@Lulu_Lulu: I highly doubt that. Likely thing is you watched videos instead of actually playing the game. And either way, Bloodborne has a different way of thinking. I went back to Dark Souls after playing Bloodborne, and I had to relearn the rules as I had started playing aggressively (bad move in Dark Souls). Even my friends did the same thing.

@Lulu_Lulu: in its base systems, yes they're very similar. But mechanically, they're pretty different from each other. You don't play one like you play the other.

@Lulu_Lulu: yeah, because that strategy doesn't require some finesse with the game at all (sarcasm). And btw, there's no such "easy mode" in Bloodborne. No magic wielding, no item burden, and no useful ranged weapons.

I'm more concerned with lazy boss battles that are reduced to nothing more than QTEs. THAT is a real problem.

That's a cool idea. Or if they didn't want to use their photos they could make little avatars using the game's assets for a team "photo"

Some do, like Volition and the Saint's Row games. I don't think, though, that it's something that should become a standard, because then that's how it would have to be with movies and other media.

They won't do that, but i think it's nice to see when the teams there

I think it was Vanquish where you got to shoot the team's faces in the credits.

I haven't seen a good ending in ages. Yeah its true now most endings all you see is a huge wall of text of names of people who probably had next to nothing to do with the actual game. Like listing everyones accountants and their accountants and so on and so on. Why even list these people... nobody cares. Watching a massive list of credits should not be an ending, they should be an option in the game to look at if you want.
