My Brother loves games that follow up on WW2, he bought Call of Duty World at War and is enjoying the Multiplayer, despite the amount of hacked places for shenanigans,so he wants to ask just what exactly would you guys consider the best World War 2 game?

If you're not looking for multiplayer, I would say the first Medal of Honor. Or maybe that's sentiment speaking. It was the first FPS I played intensely.

Red Orchestra 2 did a pretty good job at revitalising the subgenre. Multiplayer-only and some damn good level design, as well as a nice balance between realism and arcade. And if you're into war simulation, Iron Front is worth a try, no matter what that terrible review on GS tries to tell you.
