I first got my PS2 in 2004. I picked up 4 games for it that day, so these are my first PS2 games: High Heat baseball 2002, Madden 2002, The Getaway and Gran Turismo 3.
Mine was relatively near launch and i got crazy taxi, and this platform game thingy which you played as a red alien creature going around what seemed like this big wierd spaceship. For the life of me cant think what the game, someone please help me out.!!!
Edit: It was called gift, but when i searched for it here nothing came up. He was a little red monster and the game was crap but does anyone know anymore about it or have it???
I was one of those launch buyers, so of course, I purchased Tekken Tag. With arcades actually still in popularity and the fact that I LOVED Tekken Tag back then, it was a no brainer purchase.
First one I played was a Tekken Tag Tournament demo in Sears I think for about a second. First game I got with my PS2 was DBZ Budokai whatever year that came out for Christmas.
My first games were PaRappatheRappa 2 and Simpson's Skateboarding. But do not go with my first games. PaRappa was way too short and easy and Simpson's Skateboarding just plain sucked. I was nine back then; please learn from my mistakes :cry:
Hehe, mine was 007: Agent Under Fire, simply because somehow the game disc got into the PlayStation 2 box and I'm just that good to pick the one with the free game.
The two games I first bought with my PS2 were Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Kingdom Hearts 2, which I both strongly recommend. I would also refer and Ratchet and Clank or Jak 2, along with God of War.

wow i got my ps2 back in summer (my birthday) of '02. i got eight games exaxtly. i have 50 games for the ps2 now although i do not recall all my first games. but i clearly remember fifa world cup 2002, maximo, i think guilty gear x, an di'm proud to say i've never given away any PS2 games except the ones that were stolen from me
Mine was Resident Evil Code Veronica X. It is a bit archaic when compared to RE4, but it is a pretty big game with lots of great moments and it must be dirt cheap to buy on a used games bin. The controls are the worse part though since it plays just like RE3.
