I played a lot of sick video games, I think Manhunt 2 would be good but it is censored, so I would say the goriest games I've ever played would probably be either Chiller, Damage: The Sadistic Butchering of Humanity, or Carnevil. What do you guys think?

What's the bloodiest game you've ever played? I need some recommendations!

Thanks guys!

It would be Doom. Since then, I most avoided ultra-violent games.

Carmageddon, I guess (I played it at a friend, because I wasn't allowed to play that kind of game at home). And GTA 2 (which funnily enough I was allowed to play). I guess being 10 instead of 12 years old made a difference. Oh yeah, I found Dead Space to be pretty graphic at times. I don't know... what kind of violence are we talking about? Actual graphical fidelity or does context also play a part in it?

Well there the gear of war game when you are stuck in a huge worm and need to cut it until it die. You walk through its blood that gets up to knee deep.

Probably either Manhunt or TLoU. Goriest isn't most violent, that'd probably have to go to Soldier of Fortune for the dismemberment. Usually the most violent games don't even tend to be the most explicit.

Topics of discussion are fine, but stop advertising your Youtube channel.

Regarding the topic, Manhunt was pretty bad and frankly distasteful to me. I don't mind violence in a game, but if that's the only point of the game then it's not interesting to me. I didn't beat the first one and I never bothered with the sequel.

Kingpin: Life of Crime was another one. A late 90s game based on the Quake 2 engine, but it was all about brutal hand to hand combat. It's pretty tame by modern standards but at the time it was considered pretty gory.

The Condemned games were also pretty violent, but they were also very interesting games. Esepcially the first one, which was one of the better 360 launch titles.

Mortal Kombat 9

/Space marine was a bit gory too.

Shadow Warrior

Fallout 3

Of these three games I have to go with fallout 3. It still feels like a definitive murder simulator when you're trying to be the bad guy.

Lolipop Chainsaw was pretty violent. i remember one part having to run a combine over hundreds of undead. Does killing undead even count as violence though i wonder?

I played Manhunt back when it came out but i cant remember much about it. It was a pretty crappy game so i quit probably before much violence happened. Also this and Postal were similar, lots of violence but just turned me off the game.

And i remember Soldier of Fortune for its time was really violent, they added dismemberment just to add to the violence, the game was crappy so thats about all it had going for it. Its really not a violent game if u compare it to games now adays

I dont play a ton of ultra violent games though so i can't really be accurate on whats the most violent.

Oh my god, when you drop that TOMATO!

I remember a Chinese themed game for SNES where all you did was walk down the streets (I think of L.A.) and blow everyone away with a shot gun. I think it was a real violent game I can't remember the name of it! (or if it were real, lol) I was a kid.

Madworld by far. It was a really fun SUPER violent game that was somewhat overlooked because it came out on the Wii.

I think the postal games were the most brutal for me

though I hear the new game "Hate" or "Hatred", whatever it is called, is supposed to be just mindless violence.

I generally avoid ultra-violent games. However, Gears of War is at least among the goriest games I have played since enemies completely fall apart/blow up into a gory pile of guts and stray limbs when they die.

Of course, if we are counting games that have violent subject matter but are not necessarily gory, then easily GTA

Gears Of War was a horrible experience, I didn't like it quite a bit, but I completed it because I had no other game to play in my early days with the Xbox360. And I rememeber it was so cruel and nasty, too much gore for me..

Another gory game, this time one which I fully enojoyed was Fallout 3, for some reason it didn't mind the gore and violence at all, on the contrary I loved seeing how you could blow a head in slow motion and they would roll across the floor

In my opinion, I think Witcher 2 is easily one of the more violent games I've played.

It takes a lot for me to consider a game as being really violent. I find chunks of meat and buckets of blood to be pretty cartoonish a lot of the time (which it really is).

But when shown a more graphic way? That's when I start to think "yeah, this is pretty violent"

Probably not the most incredibly violent game, but the one that stuck with me the most is Primal Rage. Looking at it now, I can easily see it's nothing more than a Mortal Kombat knockoff, but as a kid whos gaming was mostly reduced to bouts of Smash Bros and Pokemon Stadium at my friend's house, the image of dinosaurs and apes breathing fire and slashing each other up was one that stuck with me to this day.

There was a game on the ps2 called Nanobreaker. Blood flew everywhere. You could change the color too to be anything. I changed it to multi colored and it looked like a was killing pinatas.

@angelcrr: Evil within is only violent if you have a gore phobia.

For me? God of war is visually the most violent game ever made... mortal kombat is more "Gross" to me than actually violent.

The most violent game I remember playing was State Of Emergency. From what I remember it was like the first mass murdering game I've played and it was kinda scary for me. I was never into Manhunt because it looked too violent for me at the time.

I know they usually go hand in hand but not always.

Madworld is my top pick.

Dead space, Left 4 Dead 2, and the Walking Dead Seasons 1 & 2 are up there as well.
