We can expect a lot of indie games this generation

Sony has signed 1000 indie developers to PS4, while Microsoft has 250. We can expect a lot more of indie games in the years to come.

This news comes courtesy of the PlayStation Blog, where Joystiq spotted the update certifying that Sony is completely and entirely pro-indie, with head over developer relations, Adam Boyes, writing...

“Recently we reached a significant milestone with more than 1,000 developers licensed globally to self-publish on our platforms, 200 of those licensed in North America since PS4 was unveiled in February 2013.“

As long as they keep making them with quality like Outlast, this is good news.

That's cool I guess. I've never been into indie games myself but there may be more that come out now that I like and if not then oh well.

That's cool, I guess. I don't know if I've really even played a real indie game. I'm not even sure what it takes to quality as one.
