Well whether its off topic or game discussion TC seems to be obsessed with the VS thing. Atleast he wrote a line in this one. If you go through his other threads, he creates the topic and just writes "discuss". Usually most of threads gets locked for this reason.
Hmm, they do seem similar in tone, but North is imo just a tad ahead and he seem to be a bit more humorous than Baker.
Baker dont seem to have taken stardom with both feet on the ground.
Yeah, it was The Last of Us that I was playing when I thought for a while that it was Nolan North voicing Joel. I will say this, though. I loved Nolan North's Deadpool voice in Shattered Dimensions.

Haha, oh wow... I thought that was Nolan North when I was playing the Deadpool game, but I remember that scene in the beginning of the game where Deadpool called up Nolan North to ask if he'd voice his game, so I discounted. Yeah, that game had more than its share of flaws, but the way it was presented was fantastic. I really would love to have another Deadpool game, and my dream would be to have Rocksteady do it. Having a Deadpool game with that kind of developer behind it would just be incredible!

For me, voice actors fall into two categories. Ones who have cool voices but you immediately recognize them in everything they appear in and ones who are good voice actors because they are practically unrecognizable in their various roles. Steven Blum (Spike from Cowboy Bebop) is one of the prior. Steven Blum does supporting voices in pretty much -everything-, and every time I hear him it's "oh, hey there Spike!". Billy West is one of the latter. I would never have guessed that Fry, Professor Fansworth, Zoidberg and Zapp Brannigan from Futurama and Stimpy (and in the later seasons, Ren, too) from Ren and Stimpy are all voiced by the same guy.
I would have put Nolan North into the first category prior to The Last of Us but after that I'm leaning more towards the latter on him now.

Paul Eiding is another one who I can always pick out his voice. He's in half the games I play and I always know it's him.
