Top 3 games/consoles on your retro-wishlists

I know this thread would have been more appropriate prior to the Holidays, but if you're like me, there are always at least a few retro games/consoles that I'm currently trying to track down. Here are my top three retro-wishlist items:

-Shenmue (Collector's Edition)

-Bangai-O

-Tobal No. 1 (I already own this game, but it is an ex-rental copy with disk only)

Assuming you mean games that aren't currently on order:

1. Klonoa 1 + 2

2. Odin Sphere

3. Spyro 3

(King's Field was my no. 1 but I just won the auction with a £21 bid. I'm so happy!)

1. Shenmue for the Dreamcast.

2. Any of the .hack games for the PS2.

3. Any of the Wild Arms games, except for 3 because I already have that.

1. Dragon Warrior VII (PS1)- The game is about $42 bucks on amazon before shipping, the lowest it's been in a while, plus I just got a $25 amazon gift card. I'll probably be grabbing this soon, after which I will own DQ IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX.

2. Dragon Warrior I & II (GBC)- Obviously, owning this will put me only one game away from owning all games in the DQ series.

3. Dragon Warrior III (GBC)- Dragon Quest series complete.

1) Earthbound (SNES) - I'm growing more & more obsessed with wanting to play this game. Will finally be purchasing a copy on eBay, as soon as one comes up to my liking.

2) Chrono Trigger (SNES) - I have this on the PSone, but really want to add a copy of the SNES version to my collection. Have yet to play this game too, not sure why.

3) Phantasy Star IV (Genesis) - Again, I own this copy on a couple compilation discs, but have yet to play it. I want to play this on the Genesis.

1. Boxed SegaCD, model 1 if possible. Hard to find at a decent price loose, let alone boxed.

2. Dragon Warrior(Quest) NES 3 & 4....expensive = \

3. Sweet Home NES repro cart. Repro carts are kind of expensive, and can take quite awhile to recieve, so I've been putting it off.

Systems:

1. Replace my broken TurboGrafx-16
2. Replace my Sega CD
3. Get a working 3DO

I can't really recall any must have games I haven't purchased yet, because I think I've covered most of them by now. Even most of the games that weren't "must haves," but that I was very curious about but was never able to get (this includes a lot of obscure horror games, including the very hard to find Dark Messiah for PS1).

A gamestop employee gave me this for free when they stopped taking and selling Xbox games. He said someone left it in the store a week or so before.

It's a fun game.

Great game. One of the more unique JRPGs out there. You won't see goofy talking animals or spikey blue-haired teenagers in this one.

jade empire is a wrpg what are you on about? and im not just saying that cos it was developed by bioware...its a complete wrpg game wise...

A retro console wishlist? A Sega Saturn, & Dreamcast and even if it is not a console Sega CD model 1/Mega CD model 1. to go with my model 1 Sega mega drive.

Might as well collect the Sega Disc based videogame entries, Even though Sega CD is not a console. But still

Metal Gear Solid Special Missions (called VR Missions in America I think) - PS1 Crash Bandicoot (the first one first, of course) - PS1 Haunting Ground - PS2 I used to own all of these games (minus Haunting Ground), but I want to own them again (and never sell them, of course). As for consoles, it would be ones I never had the chance to play. Those are probably: GameCube (also can play N64, right?) Sega Saturn Game Boy Advance SP (as it can play all GBA games, and there are quite a lot of games I never had the chance to play on there such as the Resident Evils, Tomb Raiders, Wrestling games... :))Ashley_wwe

in regards to Metal Gear , if you want, you can get the Japan only Metal Gear Integral , which has both the main game and the VR missions in one package, along with a few other things (first person mode, meryl sneaking suit, very easy difficulty), and its all in English , including the subtitles.

also the PC version has the extra missions and all the extra content of Integral , along with better visuals

I really want to play the old Castlevania games, since I only played them at a friend's house for a short time, and also Fire Emblem which I sold for some reason. My NES is broken though, and Fire Emblem is slightly above my spending cap at the moment.

I'm having a tough time finding a Sega Nomad over here in the UK for a reasonable price. Thats the one thing I'm trying to add to my collection. Seems to be a fun handheld to play as well on the go :)RumblSmoothSkin

I have a Nomad. W/o modding it, it is not really worth it if what you really want is a true portable. The NiCad battery packs you could get for it are all broken by this point even if you find one new in box. You can get a battery holder for it that lets you use your own AA batteries but the old school LCD screen is very ineffecient so it eats batteries at a rate that makes people complaining about a the three hour battery life of a 3DS seem ridiculous. The things are really meant to be plugged in a wall at all times. I hate to take the wind out of your sails but just wanted to make sure you knew what you'd be getting into w/ a Nomad.

i still need a Super Nintendo, games for that (like Fzero and Super Mario World), and Super Mario64 for N64. We'll see what all i end up getting this year, I really need to save up and cut back on my retro game purchases.

2. Advance Wars - playing Advance Wars 2 right now, never played the first.

3. Wario Land 3 - Actually, Wario Land 2 as well but 3 is supposed to be the best.

1- A Saturn- I've wanted one for a while. My dissapointment with the DCs library so far has sort of held me back, but I'm definitely going to give the Saturn a fair shot.

2-Majora's Mask-Played it a decade ago, and hated the time limit. Pretty much killed the whole game for me, but I thought I should give it another chance.

3-Shadow of the Collosus-Never have played it before.
