The best game, seat and steering wheel for PS3 or 360?

Hi, I'm eager to jump into a Gran Turismo or Forza console game right meow. I don't want the latest game, I can't wait for PS4's Gran Turismo release and I'm unsure about XBox One's Forza steering wheels. What's a tried and true quality setup (game plus racing seat plus force feedback wheel)?

I don't mind picking up a XBox 360 or (preferably) PS3 as long as the setup is reliable and feels great. I assume I won't be able to reuse the FFB wheel, but assume I should be able to use the racing seat with future games.

well, the best racing game by far is forza 4, for last gen. i bought my 360 solely because of this game..i have 200+hours in gt5 and it doesn't come close to forza's realism.

xbox is harder to find steeringwheels for though..
