James Rolfe (AVGN) is hilarious, although like someone else has already said, some of the games don't look as bad as he is making them out to be. Although I find many of his hardcore fans to be kinda annoyng, like some of them think that he acts that way in real life and don't understand that The Angry Video Game Nerd is just a charecter and doesn't actually exist. James Rolfe (AVGN) is a normal guy in real life like everyone else and dresses normal and has wife and doesn't walk around swearing everyhwere, he's a regular guy in real life like everyone else he just plays a charecter on Youtube/Screw Attack.
Unfortunately he has a copy cat that makes money off of plagirising his work.
No. He's a try-hard and lacks much of a personality. Also, the swearing really detracts from the experience. Now, I'm all for swearing, but he just doesn't know how to make it entertaining like George Carlin for example.

I used to watch him all the time, but I stopped watching because not only did I lose interest, but just didn't have the time anymore. The last thing I saw of him was a game I never heard before; Ninja Baseball Bat Man, a game I now wish was released a long time ago.
And who is copying his work? The Nostalgic guy?

Nostalgia Critic reviews movies, even more, he have done specials in co-op with the AVGN.
Im pretty sure the guy he was talking about was the Irate Gamer.

The reason why I ask is because I heard once that the AVGN gave one of them permission to use his theme song of sorts. Must be the Irate Gamer...
AVGN is really good at what he does. I've been following him off and on for a couple of years now (since 2007 or so) and you can actually see him improve. In the beginning he was really cursing a whole lot, in an original way but still lots of cursing nevertheless. Since 2008-2009 onwards he tends to review games in a normal tone of voice and just in a more entertaining way then before imo. He also has great facts about the old systems I'd never had any idea about so he's quite interesting and informative as well. He does put lot's of time in his projects though, I believe one of his later ones (with the robot) took him about 120hrs to make.
