If all Gamespot is going to do is rate games by how much money they get from the company'sthen how can we trust there reviews?leadshadow
CNET owns Gamespot therefore Gamespot must adhere to the rules, regulations and business ethics that CNET choose to carry out and enforce. CNET feel that publishers who invest lots of money into advertising on Gamespot should have their games rated more highly than normal. CNET also feel that the "big hype" games should get higher praising reviews and scores aswell.
It really isn't Gamespot's fault and it is definately not the fault of any of the editorial or community staff at Gamespot either.
Also CNET's business style does explain why a game like Halo3 may have gotten such a good review.
