Rise of The Tomb Raider E3 Trailer

Never expected to see this to show during E3, but it's super cool it is showing. I know some folks have been saying the title of the game is tad bit wonky and stupid, but I think it's cool and classy. What do you think of this? What do you want out of the next Tomb Raider game?

I can't wait to play this game and I'm not to sure what to make of the title I think they should have called it tomb raider 2.

I want to see more tombs in the sequel.

Awful AWFUL name

Can't believe that title passed through the publisher.

Many people saying its an awfull name will get used to it.

Anyway.... More Tomb Raider is nice I guess but Lara Croft and The Temple Of Osiris will be much much better !

Yeah the name is a bit goofy but the game should be awesome. I totally loved the first one so I'm definitely on board for this game.

I don't even think the name is stupid.... Uninspired sure.... But stupid ? Na....

People are just Skepticle and don't know how to react because of how Tomb Reboot turned out.

Since they only have a name they critisize the name.... As soon as they have the game they'l say thats its stupid too..... Thats just how gamers roll ;) or should I say thats how gamers Troll ! :p

Not digging the name. A little bloated. Might have tried,

Dawn of the Tomb Raider: Croft's Ascension. Or, The Tomb Raider Rises.

Will have to finally play TR, this looks decent.

You'd think in a medium with names like:

President Evil

The Last Of Us

Gears Of War

People would be indifferent to a game's name. But nope......

I think Resident Evil, The Last of Us, and Gears of War are all very good names. Rise of The Tomb Raider not so much, sounds a bit goofy to me. I still think that it'll be an excellent game and it certainly won't prevent me from picking it up.

Yes its always to say a name sounds great once its won a billion GOTY's or if its a timeless classic or even its been said 2 billion times...... And "Rise of a Tomb Raider" will be no different.

I mean seriously.... Its a simple phrase, "Rise Of a Tomb Raider" its spelt perfectly and grammatically flawless, it make sense.

People are just saying things because thats what people do. Like they did with DmC's Dante's Hair Colour.

"Gears Of War" actually sounds stupid, "The Last of Us" sounds very vague and ambiguous and "President Evil" is just Plain Broken.

No. Those names sounded good to me the very first time they came out so it's not the case that they won awards or are classics now at all for me.

It's "Rise of the Tomb Raider" by the way. Just because something is spelled perfectly and grammatically flawless does not mean that it can't sound goofy to someome.

Gears of War sounds just fine to me same with Resident Evil although I do agree that "President Evil" does sound stupid especially given the fact that you continually chose to call it that at EVERY SINGLE opportunity. I haven't played The Last of Us yet but again the name sounds perfectly fine to me.

Not once did it occur to you that the words Evil and Resident are an odd combo. And what the hell are the Gears of War ? Do we call them Wargears ? Is there also a "Bolts Of War" or "Nuts of War" ?

How can say "Rise of a Tomb Raider" just sounds goofy in comparison ? And no its not a "they just do to me" kinda thing..... Theres a reason ! Either that or theres something wrong with you.

I would definately laugh.... I'm laughing at it right now...... But theres nothing wrong with the name.

I don't know about it being a much better game but I enjoyed the first iteration more than the Tombraider reboot so I would not be surprised if this sentiment rolls over for the part 2 version of each game.

It's a stupid name, I would actually prefer if they called it Tomb Raider 2.

Yes they really sound fine to me.

Resident Evil = there's something evil that resides or lives here

Gears of War = the faction that you play as are called Gears and they are in a war with the Locust

Making up titles that do sound goofy does not prove that the original title is at all goofy. Your argument is non-sensical.

I understand why they would call it Rise of the Tomb Raider because of how Lara Croft will rise up to be the tomb raider that began in the first game however I can still consider it a goofy sounding title.

There's nothing wrong with me as this is a pretty subjective topic and I've clearly stated that these are simply how I find the titles of games to sound like to me. However I do think that you seem to have some kind of issue here in how determined you want to make it seem that if someone finds the title goofy sounding then they are wrong. It's a subjective topic and if some people don't like the title then that alone does not make them wrong and your opinion is not the "correct" one.

The reboot was good, although it was a bit too much like Far Cry 3 for me

Scoring high and winning some GotY's has nothing to do with how some people might perceive the name of a game, niether does how many it might sell. One can certainly enjoy a game but still think that it has a goofy name both before and after it comes out, I know that I will. You seem to be attaching too much importance to how some people might feel about the name as if everyone's running around saying , "OMG it's a stupid name now the game is going to suck so I'm not going to buy it." when this really isn't the case. Most people who think the name sounds goofy or whatever will judge the game on it's on merits and if they enjoy it may still think that the name sounds goofy and you know what, that is perfectly fine.

I think the name is stupid and awkward. Still loved the trailer and cannot wait for he game, I have a feeling I will love it after how much I liked the reboot.
