Remakes of games i would like to see

During the last year, we have seen a lot of remakes of games that haven't been out that long. I don't really blame them for doing it, because it's an easy cash grab for companies. People should vote with their wallets, i sure am. I don't mind them, i just personally think that there are older games that could be redone. This should not come of the cost of new games and new ideas. This would hurt the industry and gaming.

I would personally love to get games from the 5th and 6th generation made for the new consoles. It would be possible seing how many games got ported to PS3/360/Wii. I would like to see games like Battlefront 2 and other great games from that era get the same treatment. Final Fantasy would have lots of potential to be revived with an HD treatment for example.

The games could just be re-released digitally to make it more affordable for the companies aswell. Seing how most people would love to hunt trophies and experience older games with updated graphics aswell. With the technology today it wouldn't be hard to do either. Final Fantasy X sold very well last year and was even cross-buy.

@The_Last_Ride: if they did an HD remake of Final Fantasy 12, I will be a very happy man.

I would absolutely love to see Chrono Cross redone.

I'd like to see a Persona 3 & 4 collection, on the Persona 4 end they can basically port Persona 4: The Golden that was on the Vita, on the Persona 3 side though they need to create a definitive port. Given that there was Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable, they need to combine content of both games into one package, but focus on keeping the female protagonist option from Persona 3 Portable, and they also need to update combat to control like Persona 4 where players can control each member in the team during combat (I heard someone say this was done in P3P but I haven't play it myself). Lastly, Atlus should port it to multiple systems.

I'd love to see a Fatal Frame collection because I've been wanting to play them for quite a while now and don't have an opportunity to play them. I'd also like to see a Majora's Mask remake, because MM is GOAT.

From 5th and 6th gen... I don't know which game to choose, too many good games

I think the Resistance series deserve an HD remake, it was such an underrated franchise.

....and I would also add Gears of War and The TimeSplitters series.

same here. Also Chrono Trigger. Then after that it'd be nice to have a full sequel to the Chrono games.

Chrono Trigger had a pretty great port on the DS. It was my first time playng and it's great. The added content wasn't the best but still, it's Chrono fucking Trigger.

But yes I'd love to see Chrono Cross so that I can play it. Don't have a way to play it currently.

I would love to see a remake of Chrono Trigger.

Are we talking remakes like: Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Resident Evil Game Cube remake? Or HD edition remakes where they just smooth out the jaggies a little?

I know they already did HD Ports of the Banjo Kazooie and Perfect Dark games, but I think fully reworking some of Rare's old gems from the N64 would be great

Legacy of Kain is the one that deserves a remake/reboot above all others.
I would also love a Vagrant Story remake.

I would love to see the Spyro series remastered, like they did Ratchet & Clank or Jak & Daxter.

The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. I would pay $100 to get an HD remake/ultimate version of this game. For those who don't remember (or are too young to remember)...

The player controls the Hulk in an open world environment in which the player can visit most locations and interact with the environment while not engaged in missions. The game'sbosses include Devil Hulk and Mercy, and the game's main villain is the Abomination.

Boasting "Unstoppable Movement" means Hulk can run across walls and other vertical surfaces, climb any wall by digging his fingers into concrete, leap huge heights and distances all under the player's control. Hulk's combat abilities also reflect this increased power; cars and buses are simply smashed out of the way while fully charged attacks will toss vehicles, enemies and unlucky pedestrians into the air. At his most powerful, the Hulk can perform one of five different ultra-powerful Devastator attacks including the Critical Atomic Slam and the Critical Thunderclap. These attacks will clear enemies out for a multi-block radius, flatten entire buildings, and cause massive damage to enemies.

The game includes the voice talent of Ron Perlman, Richard Moll, and Neal McDonough, who reprises his role of Bruce Banner which he first began in the 1996 Incredible Hulk animated series.

I'm over HD remakes from old, what I want is rebooted Franchises more. Take for Example Resident Evil HD Remake, it looks awful to me, the gameplay is way to clunky, it just doesn't age well, it was an amazing game for it's time, but my god it's such a cash grab, you can see it a mile away, I'd of Rather them reboot the series, like all of a sudden coming out with a Resident Evils Revelations 2, I never got the first game so for it to be one of the first Resi games to come out on the new consoles, I just don't see the point, it's time to reboot the series and make something of it.

I totally agree with you that there are having some old games which are not remakes. Most of the games lover really want a change to the different games not just on the new console that are developed currently. Many of us like games and some of us are developed app by using the old one. Every new thing will attract to everyone but by having good and excellent ideas. Make games remake will effect the games.
