Q. Where to go after Mass Effect?

I just finished replaying the Mass Effect trilogy and am trying to figure out what game I should go to next. Is there any game at least Close in relation to Mass Effect? I just thought about Dragon Age: Origins and watched the GS Review. It seems like it might be a decent fit, but I wanted to ask for some opinions. I've never been big on RPGs other then SW:KOTOR and Mass Effect, but am realizing more and more after playing those games, I'm probably missing out.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should try out Dragon ago origins. Im a Mass effect fan and im playing Dragon age origins for the first time currently.

The combat is different, but you still have the conversations, choices and great characters to meet and acquire along the way.

Dues Ex Human Revolution might work for you, I played it after finishing Mass Effect 3 and loved it.

Play Gear of War since Mass Effect games are way closer to shooters and Gear of War are better shooter. Unless you are more about the interactive story then I hear good thing from Taletell current games.

Since you gravitated towards Dragon Age I assume its safe to say you're not talking about gameplay.

I would pick Dragon Age as a good choice next. Mind that the gameplay is more tactics focused than Mass Effect so it'll feel slower and requires more planning than Mass Effect, but most of the other mechanics, including dialogue and skill-building, are roughly the same with a few variations here and there.

I would also recommend Dragon Age as well. The gameplay is more tactical in nature but it has the same great story-telling and characters.

@thehig1: Yea, I've played through Deus Ex: HR 3 times already and got Platinum. LOVE that game too!

Out of ideas for you then, once I played Dues Ex after Mass Effect no other games have stood up to those.

Rise of the Argonauts. It's essentially a swords' n'sandals version of Mass Effect, with lower production values but much better roleplaying.

You can pick it up for a couple of dollars nowadays, which also helps.
