Hey guys,

I am looking for a pc game without any nudity or overly sexualised characters. I would like to start playing with my young son but there are way too many over sexualised games. I'm interested in RPG games, MMO etc. Any suggestions? :)

Many thanks,

Sabras

lol.... You can try Non-PC related games and invest in the older type systems that are entirely kid friendly. Or, you can buy a Nintendo Wii? I'm only making suggestions. There are not many games out there anymore that don't over use sex as their selling point. It is sad. I can't even count how many games I have played that had an amazing story element and out of nowhere, RANDOM SEX SCENE that had nothing to do with the story. I just beat Mass Effect 2 again recently and forgot about the "sex scene" before the final mission. Oh well. Hopefully...and I really do mean hopefully. Game Developers will begin to look at games as a video game. It is a story. They need to stop selling sex the way they do in movies and television. Some just want to enjoy the game without seeing CGI breasts. If I want to see fake breasts, I will go to adult rated websites.

Will the human body explode your kids brain or what?

I hope you understand that your child has access to endless amounts of porn while on the internet.

try buying games that are rated E.

It's just a parental preference. Yeah the problem is that there are not a lot of mmo's out there that aren't sexualised to the core

If my kid was still really young (3-5 years old), I'd just buy one of those $20 Namco/Atari game devices that hooks up to a TV.

Elite Dangerous. It's a space simulator that has MMO like features.

Mostly resource gathering with some PvE & PvP.

You're assuming that all parents give their children unlimited and unrestricted access to the internet, which a lot of parents don't because it's a terrible idea. The issue isn't "there is nudity in this game" but more -how- nudity and sexuality are typically apporached in most games, which can often be described as juvenile at best and sexist at worst.

@sabras: MMOs are tricky because there typically is so much content that there's bound to be something inappropriate for young children somewhere in the game, and even if there isn't there's always the interaction with other players to worry about. Space or vehicle-type MMOs are generally better because they are not based on characters. SWTOR is based in the Star Wars world so it's going to be more tame than other games, but it's still not perfect. Twilek dancers will be about as bad as it gets and maybe a few casual references to sex in the vast sea of dialog that game has to offer. "Vehicle" based MMOs like World of Tanks or the already mentioned Elite Dangerous, but not everyone will be interested in these games.

However, regarding other kinds of games there are so many titles to choose from.

@sabras That is hard one, not a lot of them out there. I honestly can't remember any MMO or RPG that could be alright for a kid. Maybe go for different genre until he grows up a bit? Maybe something like Terraria? Castle Crashers? Trine series? Not your traditional style of RPG but all I could remember at the moment. :

@sabras: From my experience, Guild Wars 2 is quite kid friendly; adorable, sweet and the community is extremely friendly...there is some very mild (and non-glorified) violence as you have to "kill" to level up but as far as I remember there is no sexuality involved in anything...yeah, some female outfits are still a bit skimpy (but not as bad as in other games and a lot of female armors are actually full body, not bra and g-string like in some other RPGs) and most of them aren't even human =P Plus, it's free after purchase so there's that as well if you want to save money.

Child of Light might be worth checking out... not an MMO but it should be a fairly simple RPG.
Valkyria Chronicles if you want a more mature RPG
Costume Quest is a cute game around Halloween

Rune Scape for an MMO? MMOs are hard to control content because you're interacting with others.
