Bought Resident Evil 6 couple of days back, man its much better than RE 5 and RE Operation Racoon City...imo. Its best RE after RE 1,RE 2, RE 3 and RE 4.

Co op solid, lenghty gameplay, varities of skill upgrades, cheats (infinite ammo), Highly replayable and addicting and whats more rocking is you can play as 8 different chars ( partners included) if you wish.

Haven't even started The Mercenaries mode yet but i'm sure its solid.

Why did gamespot gave it 4.5 ??? :( It deserves 9.0 easily.

Whats your opinion on RE 6 being given below score by gamespot? Did it deserve it?

I think it's a great game, but also an inconsistent one. There are a few crap sequences here and there that really bring the game down. Even so, I would say that it undoubtedly has the best gameplay in the series, I enjoyed how the plots interwove, the co-op stuff no longer gets in the way of the gameplay, and it's certainly loaded with content. GS' review is way out of line. I'll freely admit that it's a flawed game, but I'd still give it at least a 7.5. The problems that the reviewer focused on simply weren't a big deal - Gametrailer's review is much more accurate, imo.

I'd give it a 6.0 or 6.5

I think the best Resident evil games are in this order.

RE:CV
RE1
RE3
RE2
REmake
RE4
RE5
RE0
RE6

I agree. I found it to be an excellent game with a pretty cool implementation of online features. It had a few rough spots but they didn't really affect it in any great fashion. I'd give it a 9 out of 10 myself.

I enjoy it. I found it to be better that RE4 and RE5.

I kknow many whine about the fact that the RE games have change. What I like about RE6 is that it feels like the older RE games has happen. This is different than most horror games where they normally just have it where the older game are swapped under the rug.

Really great game that I guess had gameplay some people just didn't like. I loved it and find it to be one of the most interesting action games this gen.

I thought it was an awful sequel. RE5 came out in 2009 and still had far better gunplay, graphics and action than RE6, which was mediocre at best.

I thought it was a highly flawed but overall fun romp with lots of value for your dollar. Id score it 7 or maybe 8. It was certainly nowhere as good as part 5 or 4 but it was ok in its own right.

Like others, I very much enjoyed it. I do not regret spending 60$ on it at launch. However I do not overlook the issues the game has.

The boss fights are padded out in length which holds them back

Lousy setpieces, very low quality

Extremely inconsistent visuals

Overused QTE's

Plus other issues, I'd say it's a 6.5 or a solid 7. But I'd have no problem recommending it to others.

OMG, shut up. It's one dudes opinion, WHO CARES. So Kevin didn't like the game, big deal.. I don't really like it either, but good for the people that enjoy it.

It sucks.

It's not scary at all to be considered a survival horror.

And the gun and gameplay sucks to much to be considered a good action game.

It's not underrated at all...

RE6 is not as bad as RE0,RE Gaiden,Survivor and ORC. Hell I'd rank it higher than RE5 and RE3, maybe even the original RE as well since that game has aged poorly (RE1 remake though was and still is amazing).

Plus the review was from Kevin who's a failed idealist and is just a tool.

Resident Evil 6 is horse ****. I thought Resident Evil 5 was bad, but at least it successfully implemented the strong combat mechanics of Resident Evil 4. RE6, on the other hand, manages to be notably inferior to the 3DS title it's trying to emulate in terms of combat mechanics. Pathetic.

It's the definition of a rental.

MirkoS77
It takes 25 hours to beat the game with many many more hours of content. No it is not a rental unless you hold games for weeks.

Said it once, I'll say it again.

They really need to port Revelations over to PSN/XBLA so people can experience the best RE in years.

I meant in the respect that it's a very divisive game. Love it/hate it affair. Not in terms of content.

If any game gets a low score,

OMG its under-rated!

If any game has a high score,

woww this game is OVERRATED!

Kevin's review was good and before I saw the grade, I thought he would give it a 6.0-6.5, as he mentioned a lot of the game's pros. I still think RE6 is a decent entry in the series, given it's direction since RE4. I hate Capcom as a company due to the crap they recently pulled on us, but I respect their work on RE6

Resident Evil 6 is so far gone and so unorthodox that it pushed itself so deep into a nichè that it cant be reviewed consistantly by critic or fan. Is that a good thing ? . . . I don't know. I just want the horrible split screen fixed !

This IS happening. Look it up guys.

Also... having only played 4 RE games this may not be entirely accurate but 1# being the best 4# the worst...

  1. Resident Evil 6
  2. Resident Evil 5
  3. Resident Evil 4
  4. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

Mwahahahha opinions are fun.
