Looking for a Best of RPG list for the PS3!!!

Hi all! I was hoping some of you might be able to give me some good suggestions for great RPGs on the PS3. I like everything from action, tactical based like Final Fantasy Tactics, hack and slash, jrpg, games like Elderscrolls and Fallout, as well as those like Mass Effect and Jade Empire, and even more shooter based RPG's like Deus Ex. Some of my favorites have been the Tales series, Mass Effect, classic Final Fantasy titles (I hated FFXIII and only kinda liked the second one) Diablo III. Honestly, I miss the feel of games like FFXII and FFXIII, as well as games like Legend of Dragoon, Knights of the Old Republic and such. I'm getting kind of sick of playing nothing but shooters.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Just came out this year and is my personal GOTY

Resonance of Fate A really great game, the combat system is very unique, challenging, and fun.

Enchanted Arms Not a game that did too well and it was close to launch, so it doesn't look that great. It's battle system is a mix between TBS and classic TB JRPGs.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Combat is a lot like God of War mixed with an action RPG. Very fun and pretty game.

NIER Almost forgot to mention this, which would have been shameful. One of my very favorites.

Valkyria Chronicles Definitely one the BEST TBS games out there.

Definitely try White Knight Chronicles. It has an FF XII gameplay feel, and from the same developers of Dark Cloud, DQ VIII, Rogue Galaxy. Unfortunately the online servers are down which was the highlight of this game, but it's worth the play through offline. Oh, and don't bother with WKC II.

I'm not usually a big RPG fan but a few weeks back I played and completed Tales of Xillia and enjoyed every minute of it! The battle and levelling systems are really enjoyable and the story and characters keep you interested until the very end. It also helped me to shake off some of the stereotypes I had about JRPGs and I will definitely be keeping a look out for other games in the series in future. If you're looking for a good RPG you really cant go wrong with Xillia IMO.Apparently there is also a sequel coming out next year which I shall also look forward to!

Thanks a lot for the suggestions guys! I keep hearing about Valkyria Chronicles so I'm going to have to look into it. I agree that Ni No Kuni was amazing. Tales of Xillia has had my eye now for some time as well.

One of the best games on the console and in general.

WRPG = Fallout New Vegas

Traditional JRPG = Ni No Kuni

Non-Traditional JRPG = Souls series

If you want a really great story then get Nier. It's a very unique game, and is unpredictable in both story and gameplay. It can get repetitive sometimes, but it's not that bad. As long as you don't treat the game like it's Skyrim and want lots of customizing and looting, it's a very enjoyable game.

Valkyria Chronicles & Tales of Xilla wins good choices!
